Cheer up chaps. Met Office still haven't bought that new bit of seaweed ! You may well do better than they say.
You're not wrong. Although it's pretty grey we have still been generating about 1.5kW to 2kW for several hours.
I think March was so bad that I missed the crossover point where my shallow panels start to see more sun, and the steady lengthening of the day. So forgot that 'even' 1.5kW for 10 hours will still reach average target for early April (late April target is about 18kWh's / day).
Time for some laverbread?
Mart.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.
For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.0 -
Even though it's hazy, I've been generating over 3kW since 10am. Immersion heating my water, Gas has been off so far this month. Much more like it.0

Forecasts for N derbys today :-
Metcheck: 75% cloud now till 1pm; 97% thereafter
Met Off : Possibility of brief sunny intervals 7am -1pm, none after lunch
BBC: No sun before 1pm; possibility of brief sunny intervals afterwards.
Metcheck: completely wrong am, sort of correct pm but they exaggerated %cloud. Other 2 give fuzzier forecasts so harder to criticise but Met office wrong am & pm and BBC completely wrong am but vaguely right pm. Any of our seaside dwellers feel like sending in 3 sprigs of seaweed to guilty parties ?
Stayed sunny till 2 or 3pm then got very hazy - although we carried on generating at least 1Kw till 4pm and indeed are still producing 140W. Total for day 16.2kWh (plus another half an hours worth of not very much) (E=8)
If this was first of a series of 'grey days', I'm looking forward to rest of seriesNE Derbyshire.4kWp S Facing 17.5deg slope (dormer roof).24kWh of Pylontech batteries with Lux controller BEV : Hyundai Ioniq50 -
Must say i'm with Eric on the forecasts. Another 15.5kWh today, hope they get it so wrong again tomorrow. We've generated 104kWh in the past 7 days now since I gave my readings in. That's nigh on 50 quid in a week. Long may it continue:D2 kWp SEbE , 2kWp SSW & 2.5kWp NWbW.....in sunny North Derbyshire17.7kWh Givenergy battery added(for the power hungry kids)0

A very pleasant 21.3 kWh today.
Quite hazy all day, so surprising.0 -
9.84 kwh today. . That's 3.28 O's.0

All-day haze but still notched a 16.2kWh / 4.37 O's, maintaining our average of 16kWh/day this month (112kWh). Last month we were 18.3kWh short of PVGIS, but in April so far we're 27.7kWh up after one week (pro rata).Cider Country Solar PV generator: 3.7kWp Enfinity system on unshaded SE (-36deg azimuth) & 45deg roof0

Is your system broken Oscar? Or are you just getting lazy and can't be bothered to say if that's O's or kWh? Like to keep us guessing? That's not really fair on Shafeeq is it?:rotfl:2 kWp SEbE , 2kWp SSW & 2.5kWp NWbW.....in sunny North Derbyshire17.7kWh Givenergy battery added(for the power hungry kids)0
