Of course, at this time of year every day has potential to be better than previous one

It seems to have worked again today ! :j

10.69 kWh generated (so far : still managing 80W). AND the inverter has remembered it's allowed to use 'k' :D

I feel the same, in 8 months of having solar panels I have only once reached PVGIS target. Other months anything from 66%-88%. I think it will be pretty lucky if I reach my installers predication. But I have to wait until June to find out lol:)
I'm doing OK overall, running at well above installation prediction and classic PVGIS, just a shade below climate PVGIS. It's just that this time of the year seems particularly awful for me and I could only dream of the sort of figures some others are getting, which would equate to over 8kWh daily for my system size. I haven't made that since September!

Sorry it must be my dishlexshia.;)

Seriously, do you know your previous annual figures, for electricity usage?

I live in a detached bungalow, now only occupied by two empty-nesters recently retired.

We have been getting through 7 - 8000 kWh of economy 7 electricity & 4 - 5000 kWh of full price day time electricity.

My first year of generation will be up soon, I will then try to compare the last 12 months with the previous 24.

Our situation has also changed, previously husband worked 3 shifts so the economy 7 really worked for us with all appliances on at the lower rate, hoovering, ironing etc whilst ordinary people slept. We are now retired  and things have changed, our day time usage is now 34% and 66% at night. The storage heaters use a lot of electricity but we quite like them! Last year we used (up to May 2012) a massive 10,537 kWh. We had a good fixed rate deal. Getting solar panels 6 weeks ago was a good move for us and we are certainly changing our habits.
We are with LOCO2 pocket fixed 3 and signed up for the year but the exit fee is only £25.
    Open to ideas.
    :hello:

    K66 please not K99, that's !!!!!y :rotfl:

We have only had our panels about 6 weeks so this is all new to us.

We are with LOCO2 Planet 3 for our elec and day rate is 13.37p, night 6.26p and a daily standing charge of 17.10p (all + 5% vat.)
We have 3 storage heaters and a 3kw immersion heater.
When sunny our house warms up very quickly due to its position with largish south facing windows.

Think you need to work out the numbers for yourself. Suggestion: Get on an 11p kWh tariff anytime; heat immersion at peak solar, dont know what your storage heaters take, but heat when immersion is not on, anything else you can get on when you are in negative usage, then use it. (wash pots and pans in sink while immersion is on) :) As John P. asked; what was your consumption of power last year (pre Solar Months)?
