Perhaps we should keep a register of sparks and replacement prices here on MSE ?
Presumably there is nothing preventing the installation of a different but equivalent inverter/panel to replace a failing unit?

Don't worry John, the Aurora's carry a full manufacturers warranty of 10 years. :D

It sure is! Our record is 24.4kWh on 26th May last year.
Excellent for a 3.7kW system, a lot of 4kW-ers don't quite manage that. My record is 12.92kWh on April 30 last year, equivalent to about 23.9 for you, so not too far behind. Haven't checked today yet but lots of sunshine so should have been reasonable.
2kWp Solar PV - 10*200W Kioto, SMA Sunny Boy 2000HF, SSE facing, some shading in winter, 37° pitch, installed Jun-2011, inverter replaced Sep-2017 AND Feb-2022.

...And we're not due South either! One theory is that SE panels get their sun when it's cooler in the morning during the summer. Our Enfinity system does appear to perform well in all conditions, helped by the lack of shading no doubt.

11.3kWh today, maintaining a 8.4kWh/day average so far this month which is 40% ahead of PVGIS-Climate. Long may it continue!

Hiya SDJ, some pretty big numbers you've been getting. Guess the winter belongs to you 'steepers'!

Pretty good week here, with 7.2 today and 7.3 yesterday. Hoping to put some in the bank ready for any bad weather to come. It would be so nice to get a month ahead of target for a change.

    Mart.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.

3.9kWh yesterday, which is about as good as it gets round here at this time of year. I suppose with continuous sunshine I might get about 5. We'll see, hopefully.
