Yesterday was just spectacular The output of our panels yesterday was around 2.5 kWh for several hours and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. We pay about 7p for each night time unit so as far as I was concerned it was a good use of the surplus free leccy for us. The Wattson is being considered too. Topping up a storage heater is a consideration. Thanks everyone for being so helpful.

Think it may be worth looking at an alternative to economy 7 now you have PV. My anytime tariff is only .10p per kWh. My house runs on average, during day time @ 125Wh - 150Wh dependant on a fridge/freezer turning on (excluding kettle boils when it leaps to 2.6kWh for 1.5 mins). Night time is similar, this is always free with solar under normal days, apart from kettle boiling......;)

Perhaps k99 has past yearly figures to share with us?

I will be able to publish my results for the first year of generation soon, and comment on spill over effects on use of day time and economy 7 usage.

A perfect day for generation in cider country, no cloud all day, no shading, cool breeze and lots of photons! Best day of generation since 27th October with a ........

    15.3kWh!!
Oh that is just a ridiculous amount to be getting at this time of year - I'm lucky to get 3kWh! What on earth do you get in the summer?

(Got a fairly typical 0.37kWh yesterday)

I feel the same, in 8 months of having solar panels I have only once reached PVGIS target. Other months anything from 66%-88%. I think it will be pretty lucky if I reach my installers predication. But I have to wait until June to find out lol:)

We have only had our panels about 6 weeks so this is all new to us.

We are with LOCO2 Planet 3 for our elec and day rate is 13.37p, night 6.26p and a daily standing charge of 17.10p (all + 5% vat.)
We have 3 storage heaters and a 3kw immersion heater.
When sunny our house warms up very quickly due to its position with largish south facing windows.

Sorry it must be my dishlexshia.;)

Seriously, do you know your previous annual figures, for electricity usage?

I live in a detached bungalow, now only occupied by two empty-nesters recently retired.

We have been getting through 7 - 8000 kWh of economy 7 electricity & 4 - 5000 kWh of full price day time electricity.

My first year of generation will be up soon, I will then try to compare the last 12 months with the previous 24.
