No Hawaii today, only 4.6 O's...coffee.gif
Here neither, 4.97, but it does take us to 96.9% compared to pvgis v5 or 105.1% to v4! So you pays yer money and takes your choice as to which version is more appropriate. Either way a good recovery after lagging well behind for much of the month. :)

So close, but last day of the month was a bit poor, so closed on 98% of target, which is fine.

    Generation 357.2kWh's or 64 O's.
    Import 154kWh's
    Export 232kWh's
    Consumption 280kWh's

To my surprise, even with the small ASHP, looks like annual consumption will be around 3,000kWh, I'd assumed it would be higher.

Lowest gas consumption for Q1 'since records began' with 265units (approx 2,900kWh).
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

Finished with 98% of March PVGIS, which considering where I was this time last week is miraculous.

This get more difficult now as April daily expectation jumps up almost 20%..... lets hope the weather follows suit. :o

I do think this is a flaw in pinning the same number to both the 1st of the month and the 31st.

    Feb 28th: 7.1
    Mar 1st: 13.1
    Mar 31st: 13.1
    Apr 1st: 16.7

I know its 'average' across the month..... but maybe better me writing some code to pro-rata it out across the month!! :rotfl:

Some time ago I posted a message explaining how to do just that. I think it was somewhere in this thread but not really inclined to search through all 22,450 messages to find it.

Briefly, the figure shown for April would be a good estimate for the 15th. To get a good estimate for the 1st, you'd need to take the average of March & April; To get a good estimate for the 30th, you'd need to take the average of April & May. Having done that, you can get a good estimate for the 7th or 8th by taking average of your (new) figures for 1st & 15th or to get a figure for 22nd average 15th & 30th figures. With enough steps, you can probably get 30 individual results for April but you'd not gain much over getting figures for 1, 7, 15, 22 & 30 then using each one for a few days before & after the individual day.

Well March came good in injury time.

    PVGIS 306 kWh ~ Generation 358 kWh (117%)

    Import: 268 kWh
    Export: 24 kWh

Also, gas consumption dropped 1016 kWh on March 2018. Some of that will be due to changing the gas hob to an induction one.

2.32 Os on the last day of the month for an unspectacular March total of 78.01 Os, 7% below PVGIS. 40% up on last March but overall it's my third worst out of eight.
2kWp Solar PV - 10*200W Kioto, SMA Sunny Boy 2000HF, SSE facing, some shading in winter, 37° pitch, installed Jun-2011, inverter replaced Sep-2017 AND Feb-2022.
  • A bit of cloud on the last day of the month meant we fell 3.6kWh short of PVGIS - 521.4kWh generated for the month.
Cracking couple of days before that though and all the better when the Leaf gets recharged on solar and iBoost is putting in over 1.5kWh into the tank at the same time :)

10kWh up on PVGIS for the year-to-date!
6.3kW system in Loughborough. 15 JASolar 300w panels on main roof SSE (no shading) with 4.2kW Growatt Inverter. 6 JASolar 300w panels on garage roof WSW (some winter shading) with a 1.65kW Growatt Inverter. Running a Nissan Leaf 24kW and considering battery storage :)

So 2 figures for me stand out (been awhile on this thread, greetings all)...

Our aniversary fell on March 21st, so for our install year we hit 3951kWh - this is a nats shy of 460kWh better than last year, so very happy with that.
We only fell short of monthly targets in April, November and December, but other months massively overshot - February being the best at 149% over.

March ended with 347.5kWh, or 86.8 ho's, so 114% of target.

Happy to report that pigeons are still being dicks.
4kWp, SSE, SolarEdge P300 optimisers & SE3500 Inverter, in occasionally sunny Corby, Northants.
Now with added Sunsynk 5kw hybrid ecco inverter & 15kWh Fogstar batteries. Oh Octopus Energy too.

A question for you experienced PV guys and girls. Sorry, very geeky... :o

I've had my panels for just over a week now, and one thing I've found interesting is how much the output can vary on two apparently clear days.

I've had a few cloudless days (with near perfect bell curves), but the peaks reached vary by a few hundred watts. I have reached 2.5kWp on a couple of occasions, but more recently I've only hit around a 2kWp.

Is this just to do with atmospherics? i.e. That whilst two days might look clear, one can have a bit of haze and therefore result in a slightly lower output?

And if so, does any part of the weather forecast reveal this? Would it be "UV index" or "Visibility"?

As I say, very geeky, just intrigued by all the graphs. :)
