Best day since install last Sept.... 4.9 O (argh!) and 191% of PVGIS.

Two more days like that and I'll just about hit 100% for March. Its still on! :D

6.1 Os today but a little warm for the panels I think as the midday peak was 3.31 and yesterday it was 3.75kwh.
4kWp, South facing, 16 x phono solar panels, Solis inverter, Lincolnshire.

March will go down to the wire, prediction now at 99%, but today looks like a good day, but tomorrow not so much.

But, heating has been off now for a week, with the small ASHP running all day, and next to no import. Quite impressed given outside temps have only been around 12C, currently 5C.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

Just wondering, do you weight your daily prediction or use the same figure all month?

We have had our central heating off for a little while just running on the one ASHP and sunshine but after Wednesday when we made just one O I had to relent and agree to 90 mins in the morning.

Hiya, I weight mine. I use a bit of logical fudging to increase or decrease the days based on the monthly average.

So for March I take the total, obviously divide by 31 to get a daily average, pop that into my spreadsheet for each day, then reduce the early days, and boost the later days, keeping the monthly total the same. Also trying to match the end of Feb to Mch start, and Mch end to Apr start.

For instance a pre June month might average 10kWh's per day, so fill in all 10's, then fudge it up a bit with 8's then 9's early on, and 11's and 12's towards the end, again matching up with the previous and next month.

Once that's all done, I simply saved the spreadsheet as a template, which I copy for each new year, then write over the daily estimates with the actual readings.

Eric gave a great tip a few years back, which is to add two months together, then divide by the number of days, and that will give an excellent guesstimate of the first/last day figures (the average being the amount in the middle). Once you have a first, last and middle (average) day figure, it's pretty logical from there to fill in the month.

It's a bit time consuming, but you only need to do it once.

Edit - Actually, you don't need to do it at all, but I'm assuming all on this thread are a little .... mad(?) like me.

I couldn't disagree with that Mart, yet strangely have yet to follow that particular route! But as we recorded another Hawaii today, 5.2, then I'll happily settle for that. :)

Very similar to Thursday with 3.4 Os. Would need 44kwh or 5.64 Os tomorrow (which my system has never achieved) to make PVGIS for March.
