I've been quiet lately because it has just been too depressing, but today I got 4.46kWh, the best since 18th November and more than double anything I've had for a month. And the day started off very misty and the sunshine was by no means unbroken, so there is hope.
2kWp Solar PV - 10*200W Kioto, SMA Sunny Boy 2000HF, SSE facing, some shading in winter, 37° pitch, installed Jun-2011, inverter replaced Sep-2017 AND Feb-2022.

We have not posted for a while either. Our generation has been terrible for a while now due to the low winter sun and winter shading from the trees on the common at the bottom of our garden.

November PVGIS estimate was 74.7Kwh we got 31.79Kwh

December PVGIS estimate was 46.9Kwh we got 18.11Kwh

January PVGIS estimate is 62.7kwh we have 9.56Kwh so far

So all in all not doing very well. Oh well roll on the summer!!;)

What's with the higher figures; what's the secret? :rotfl:

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

Unfortunately we've had the snow, been sat on my ESE system for 3 days with no generation whatsoever. Guess i can take satisfaction that the snow is still there....means my loft is insulated properly, its either that or the -4C daytime temperature. My garage mounted SW system produced 1.5kWh yesterday so not a total loss

  • A mere 1.7kWh today. Still no snow but it's due overnight. Hoping our 45degree panels won't stay covered for too long, gravity should be on our side!
