Down here in the estuary, the snow never managed to settle - it tried and failed except on north facing slopes and Swiss style, the temperature hovered at 1 to 2 degrees all day in drizzle/sleet with sunny periods. Managed to generate 5.02 kWh.
At time of writing the temperature is up from -4 to -2, it is foggy and the hoar frost covered panels are generating 116 watts0 -
Only 1.2kWh yesterday
Panels covered in snow
Outside temp at 8am this morning was -9c
Over 1/2 way through Jan and 33% of PVGIS

Can anyone recommend an Android Solar PV App?
If you've got a Sunny (SMA) inverter that works on bluetooth then Sunny Solar Log (costs about £6) works very well on that. Will display current day and historic generation, plus will auto upload to PVoutput online.Adventure before Dementia!0 -

Dave, very interesting. You're clearly not as sad as me.I'd have been out there clearing system 2 one panel at a time every ten mins or so, just so I could study the 'playback' later in the day to see the live watts per panel results!
Might answer Tunnels question about how many panels can be shaded on a SE system whilst still allowing the remaining panel(s) to work (I suspect all but one?).
Boys and their toys.
Got a 7 yesterday, best since mid November.
Mart.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

Still minus 0.5 C, but all frost on panels nearly melted, Something that looks like a moon shining through the fog and panels generating 960 watts.

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).0 -
Final out-turn was another 5kWh, though with a SE orientation, I get my peak about 11.00 GMT. So a 13:00 lunchtime clearing of the fog giving about 1.7 kW output was reasonable.
Shame about the helicopter though.0 -
