I guess the S. Wales rain has moved on to everyone else then, as we got 4.7 today.

Forecast for the next week, sunshine, followed by sunshine, which tomorrow will have changed to rain. But at least today at 8.55pm the Norwegian Met office (not really sure how or why I use them) has sun for the next 9 days in Cardiff:

If you're viewing this tomorrow (which is technically impossible, but you know what I mean!) it's probably changed to 9 days of rain.

    Mart.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.

You Sunhog Mart! We got a mere 0.511kWh the other side of the Bristol Channel, but on the bright side our forecast is as good as yours. Perhaps November will have a final flourish after all.

Very, Very good :T compared to my 1.1kWh today. :o Bye the way, end of November is Friday.:rotfl:

P.S. Some more Anorak information thanks to my new Gizzmo: on 25th Nov from 09:05 - 14.15 I was using less than my generation ! Thanks Gizzmo:j
2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax: B)

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

First full year figures from not sunny Bedfordshire.

2.5kWp Hyundai panels, SMA 2500HF, SE, no shading.

    MCS 2146kWh
    PVGIS 2233kWh
    Actual 2395kWh

    Best day 26th May - 16.32kWh
    Worst day 16th December - 0.07kWh

    Happy with that :j

Oh, and electricity use 1534kWh compared with 2330kWh the year before.
One man household, out most week days so not easy to use all generated power.

    You trust this "gizmo?"

On the poor man's Freeview Discovery channel, they are showing a series from 2008 called Renovation Nation. It must have been made just before the global financial crisis slaughtered USA house prices and features new homes and "doer-uppers" getting new "sidings" and "additions": a concrete slab and garden shed construction of 4 x 2 "lumber", strand board, plastic trimmings under a felt roof, delivered on a "truck". The innovation being 4" of "Styrofoam" stuffed into all those element of the building's envelope

There was an interesting moment as the interviewer and proud home owner stood next to the Aurora inverter; the inverter is scrolling through its couple of dozen parameters:
"Tell me do you understand these figures ?"
"Well I dunno about that but I can tell you that when this little green light is on we are making electricity !"

2.1 kWh Wednesday and nasty squall or drizzle showers with little watery sun interludes.
  • 4.95 today.

And for some unexplaned reason today I thought !!!! it and did a firmware update on the inverter:eek:
    Still seems to work

Might even increase my generation :male:
