Have just submitted our 4th FIT reading to EON by email following a very kind email reminder from them earlier this week.

Hope they are able to make a prompt payment again this quarter, like they did when I called up with Q3 readings..... after the very long wait for Q2 FIT payment.

    Submitted mine 23rd in the bank 29th (E-On) .. 4 'working days'
    1.9 kWh today, 3.96% above Nov. PVGIS..:rotfl:
2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax: B)

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

Haven't posted for a while because it's been too depressing but here goes:

    Mon: 1.29kWh
    Tue: 0.23kWh
    Wed: 0.36kWh
    Thu: 3.47kWh
    Fri: 3.89kWh

So, two decent days to finish a lacklustre month and I've made 72.56kWh in November, just a fraction over PVGIS estimate (71.7) but well below PVGIS Climate (81.5). Mind you I only got 61.46 last year. Hoping for more sunshine in December.

See what yea mean...on a par with me..:rotfl:

Gtting bored with daily reporting so have only been reporting here when result unusual.

November generation has been 107 kWh (compared to 101 pvgis and 100.3 Nov 2011).

3.57 kWh/day is worth about £1.67/day or 68% more than we would have been getting if we'd left the cash in an ISA. And of course we're still getting some free electricity and since generation is hardly any higher than base load that's nearly all being used locally hence saving another 35p per day.

Combined 5.6 today,I've checked my SSW system and its produced 228kWh since the end of september so i'm slightly in front of expectations for the PVGIS climate forcast.
I'm with eric on the reporting daily, even the wife thinks i'm a right saddo, luckily she just lets me get on with it. Maybe one day it'll wear off......one day eh !:rotfl:

Summary - s'pose it's ok, better than last year.

Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

  • Without a good sunny day today I would never have met my target, posted earlier... Checked the weather forecast yesterday and this morning where rain and cloud was predicted all day when in fact its been a crisp frosty cloudless day, absolutely stunning out here in the country. To cap it all this evening we now have heavy snow which is lying - that wasn't prediced either. Celebrated with a curry and beer :)

9kWh today and total 153kWh for November, beating target again so I'm happy!
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.
  • November generation was below PVGIS prediction but higher than in 2011.

November 2012 solar generation was 92.98% of PVGIS
November 2012 solar generation was 115.22% of November 2011

2012 year-to-date solar generation is 103.11% of PVGIS
    2012 year-to-date solar generation is 96.11% of 2011 year-to-date

I have updated the actual temperatures @07:00, 16:00, 23:00 and as I write this it is -1.4° though we do get a noticeable +2°
effect in the early hours from the water and mud banks in the Estuary, when compared to temperatures (say) 10 miles inland.
On a sloping site some 100 ft above sea level we do not get the "frost (& fog) hollow" effect.

A worthwhile 8.88 kWh of generation.
  • November 2012: 139.4kWh (PVGIS +10.6%) 37.7kWh/kWp
    November 2011: 134.3kWh (PVGIS +6.6%) 36.3kWh/kWp
    PVGIS Classic estimate: 126kWh, 34.1kWh/kWp

Great first half of the month, woeful latter half but at least we didn't get flooded. Time for an EDF FiT reading to hopefully get £246 in time for Christmas (523.3kWh since Sept 17).
