    Hi All

Something related to this thread, although thermal instead of pv .....

Having used absolutely no gas to heat our hot water since early April, the HW cylinder finally needed a gas top-up early this morning, either that or a 'lukewarm' shower, so the lack of sunshine lasted just a few hours too long .... not bad though, less than 5kWh of gas used in over 6 months ... :D ... when nice Mr Sunshine finally came out to play he delivered over twice as much heat into our cylinder today as the rest of the week combined.

Looks like at least a couple more decent days between now and the middle of next week so the boiler can have a rest for a while more .... :D:cool:

Only a very slight improvement here; recording an 8.6kWh :j:beer:

Hiya Zeup, no wonder you were joking about rigging up a Prius battery a while ago, with a little bit of PV storage you could practically go off-grid for 6 months in the Summer! Got any water storage too?

Hi all, what a second week so far for October, got 11.6 today, got 10.9 for the previous 4 days put together.

    Mart.
Mart. Cardiff. 5.58 kWp PV systems (3.58 ESE & 2.0 WNW). Two A2A units for cleaner heating.

For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.

11.9kWh today, almost double the PVGIS estimate for an October day so quite happy with that. Average 8.6kWh/day so far this month, versus PVGIS estimate of 6.4kWh/day so 34% above target pro-rata so far. Considering the rubbish Mon-Thurs we had, can't really grumble.

Hopefully a Super Saturday tomorrow if recent form is anything to go by
