4.48kWh, sunny intervals, showers. Average per day so far for October is 3.99kWh. PVGIS estimate per day for October is 3.65kWh or 4.13kWh (climate) so given that the first half of the month should average higher than the second I'm not doing too well this month.
2kWp Solar PV - 10*200W Kioto, SMA Sunny Boy 2000HF, SSE facing, some shading in winter, 37° pitch, installed Jun-2011, inverter replaced Sep-2017 AND Feb-2022.

6.9kWh today in Northants; could be better, or worse. Already 314.4kWh ahead of installation forecast, so who gives a hoot..

Hiya Zeup, no wonder you were joking about rigging up a Prius battery a while ago, with a little bit of PV storage you could practically go off-grid for 6 months in the Summer! Got any water storage too? ....
    Hi

Yes, just over 3kWh of storage would almost knock our summer energy import out completely (dull days excepting) ... as for water, we have going on a tonne in butts to water the garden and there is a plan for RWH on the back-burner - we looked a while ago but couldn't find a local installer who didn't have absolutely crazy margin expectations ....

Anyway, for those who are interested in the relative performance of thermal vs pv, today we generated ~66% of yesterdays pv, but only ~40% of yesterday's thermal - this being due to very patchy periods of often quite heavy cloud ... thermal, unlike pv, has thermal mass which doesn't respond immediately to changes in levels of radiation being collected ...

I think the correct quote may be 'don't panic yet Mr Mannering' In reality, you need to give your system a good 6 months before pressing the panic button; even that, is at the worse (predicted) time of year taking into account your known shading. :)

I think I'm becoming passive aggressive over this solar PV business and I say "yea whatever...."
