Interesting point. Those off us on (the only?) zero standing charge tariff paying 4.95p per kWh are in a different situation!
I'm sure you understand it, but for the benefit of others reading my annual bill at the above rates is less than the annual standing charge most of you are paying. [I note Cardew of this board has found one getting towards it..]0 -

I thought I was on a great rate! Standing charge of 7.287p (£26.60 per annum) with 3.1395p per kWh3.795 kWp Solar PV System. Capital of the Wolds0 -

Found one with my local council (big community switch)
2.331p per kWh gas and 10.46p per kWh electricity.
S/C 14.79p per day for each.
11500kWh gas and 2250kWh electricity usage will cost £622.00 p.a.:T16 Sanyo Hit 250s.4kWp SMA 3.8kWp inverter. SW roof. 28° pitch. Minimal shade. Nov 2011 install. Hybrid car. Ripple Kirk Hill. N.E Lincs Coast.0 -
