It looks dodgy to me. No company number given on the website and companies house doesnt seem to list them. I thought the OP sounded like spam too.

I would advise worried customers to contact Consumer Direct (through their website) and Trading Standards will contact you. If you paid by credit card contact the cc company for a charge back.

Ok, potential Mansion TV customers - read that thread and then run a freaking mile. You would be nuts to order from them having read that.
  • I was searching the internet for a tv and came across a site called mansiontv
    The site has amazing prices..
I just wondered if anyone purchased a tv from here at all or have any information they could give me with regards to how safe this site is??
    Thanks

    Hi,
After a 3 week wait, I have today recieved a 32" tv from mansion. I, like you, found it difficult to get through to them, but when I did, they were helpful.
TV is branded as mansion although I know they buy them from abroad as they told me. First impressions of the TV are very good, especailly considering the price. I have seen worse ones in Comet and Currys who were charging a lot more.
Because I had to wait a while for delivery, they gave me a £20 refund, which I didn't ask for, so apart from the frustation in waiting /contacting them, I would say they seem to be genuine.
    Hope this helps

For anyone tempted by the low prices and supposed "Next Day Delivery", please take a look at this information posted by TakeThis in the other Mansion thread:

It's interesting that you mention age. The director of this company claims to be 22 years old..
Should we have confidence in him? What happened to his older sibling? Perhaps he can no longer act as director?

Dodgy, dodgy, dodgy. Read about their practices here.

    More here.

In particular, the ASA judgement against another of their companies for advertising stuff available "Next Day Delivery" but not actually in stock.

Plus the firm's Directors' history of repeatedly creating and then liquidating companies, which does not bode well for those needing support or making warranty claims in future.

    Hi Guys

Having posted in the other forum mentioned just to let you know after nearly two months of waiting, numerous emails and phone calls I have finally recieved a full refund.

I would not use this company again and if I wasn't being so tight I wouldnt't have used it in the first place. In my opnion I would stay well away from this company, but that's just my opinon.

I hope everyone else gets a TV or their money back soon also!

My mother purchased from this site and please everyone be aware this is a scam. They have taken her money and the contact number diverts to a virgin mobile number and no replies to their emails and of course no goods! They will tell you that there is a delay due to lack of stock once you have ordered and then request your last three digits on your security strip and take your money. All details to the credit card provider and trading standards, she will be getting her money back but bad experience. I its to good to be true then it probable is! Only buy from trusted providers.
