I am also free to ask them not to.
They dont have to listen, but I actually dont want to know anyones opinions on whether they feel I should have had contents insurance, or i should have reported it to the police, or i should have noticed the items falling from my bag. None of these things help me as its too late. I am interested in advice helping me with my current issue, not protecting myself in the future.
What people can help me with, if they choose to be helpful, is advise on their experiences with claiming in the small claims courts and claiming against large companies as I have not done this before.
I am a new poster, and i have never asked for help before in this public forum. At the moment I dont feel i have had much in the way of actual help. If you can suggest somewhere where i might get this help I am requesting I would be interested in knowing so i can perhaps avoid the finger wagging.
People rarely want to know when they are not reading want they ant to read - but these are wholly relevant.
If it can be determined a reasonable person should have spotted something like this then your negligence could be a basis for their defence, leaving you loosing the case and about a hundred quid it cost.
If you have been negligent, then many have accidental cover on some form of insurance policy. So a pointer that this could be an option is very useful in deed - it's very easy to overlook something like home insurance as an option imo.
Many posts have been very helpful, even if it's not what you want to hear. If you're here for sympathy then try a different board or speak to a family member or friend.
As it stands, I don't think it's entirely clear how this can be Avons fault that you lost your possessions in what should have been such as obvious manner. Maybe some photos of the bag and clasp will help your case here?0
