Hi Mola
Sorry not to have met you when your were on before, but well done on getting below £19k! It is such a pyschological boost!
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

It really is, isn't it chev? I must admit that I still feel rather smug about it. I can't wait until next month when it will drop below £18K. I might be going crazy living with the in-laws but keeping focussed on that debt reducing makes it all soooooo worthwhile.
I've had a really expensive morning so far unfortunately. I went to the supermarket on the way in to work to buy salad stuff and some cooked meats for lunches as getting a lunch together when I leave for work at 6:15 and don't get back until 20:00 is proving quite difficult. I spent £19!!! Ouch. "Still" I thought to myself "at least I've now got healthy, diet friendly lunches for the week". WRONG!!! The ham that I got on 2-4-1 goes out of date tomorrow. So not only have I wasted the money but I can't bring myself to throw it away once it's out of date and will have to eat it all and I'm going to be fat as well. Sigh.....
Still....... I'm under 19K :dance::dance::dance: :rolleyes:

Hey Mola! Well done on getting below £19k!! :T :T
Could you bung the ham into some sort of healthy pasta dish (which could possibly then be frozen)?
Or do what my hubby does - make about a fortnights worth of sandwiches, freeze them in sandwich bags, and then every day, pull one out and take it to work with him....they have defrosted perfectly by lunch time."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Hey Moley!
well done on being sub-19k! What an amazing achievement.

Thanks everyone. It's keeping me going I can tell you!Congrats on keeping the faith and sticking with it! A role model for us all!
*Blushes* thanks Kev. I'm not sure I deserve such an accolade though. I think the real role models on here are those who are keeping up the fight whilst looking after their families, working two jobs and still managing to keep their humour up on here. The only thing I'm doing is holding down a well paid job which makes me feel physically sick and moving in with the folks so I feel like a bit of a fraud next to some of the fantastic bods on here

Nice to be complimented though!!

Well folks, it's time for my usual start of month update. Be warned, I am a little tetchy as not only do I have a cold (and with it the achy joints, hot and cold flushes and general ick) but I also apparently have tonsilitis. A viral and a bacterial infection all at the same time. I don't do things by half do I?
I haven't quite made the sub 18K yet. It's been an expensive month with having to shell out on our wedding venue deposit and so I'm just trying to clear the decks with all the out payments and see where the land lies. I'm also due about £300 in expenses from work (when I'm well enough to go in and sort it out) so that might just push me sub 18K. It will be a month of baby steps (not like the great one off strides I have been taking).
So, picture right now is:
Egg Loan: £10,586.02
HSBC Loan: £5,627.72
M&S &More: £2,068.53
Total: £18,282.27
However OH and I did have a little trip to the National Wedding Show yesterday (using monthly travel card and packed lunch courtesy of OH, bless). Now, I did subscribe to a wedding magazine but before you have a go at me it does actually work out bargainous. I buy it every month anyway - it's my little treat. The subscription is a saving on normal retail price... AND as a special one off promotion I got a full size bottle of Vera Wang perfume totally free (normally £50!). I must admit that the perfume is not my style but it will make a lovely christmas present for someone! So, not only have I saved some money, I've started my Christmas shopping. How scary am I!!!!!
Will update again mid month when things have settled down a bit. Happy debt assassination everyone!
