Egg Loan overpayment has now cleared and so here are the final results from the Molanole panel for April. :D

    Egg Loan: £5,871.82
    HSBC Loan: £4,421.78
    M&S Card: £1,818,61

    TOTAL: £12,112.21

    Warning - RANT ALERT

I'm only posting this to get this out of my mind (like one of those letters you should write and then tear up) so that I can do some work otherwise it'll eat me up all day.

I am sooooooo tantalisingly close to the under 11K mark. Trouble is, after a huge barney with the MIL2B this morning I've reached the end of my tether. So, I'm arranging viewings for a flat over the next couple of days as I'm off work. I think we've all reached the point of no return now so I shall be moving back to London and (god forbid) carting her darling son (who is still 6 years old in her eyes, not 30) with me. Then I shall invest in caller display so that I never have to answer the phone to her again. Evil, I know, but entirely necessary.

So, there goes overpayments to the egg loan until the wedding is done. And the saving a house deposit next year dream goes too as it'll have to be replaced by a paying off the debts dream. And what little wedding savings we had will dissappear as they'll have to be used as a deposit.

I think I'm making the right decision though. At least, I hope so. I'd always told myself that I wouldn't ever shout at MIL2B but this morning she pushed me too far to ignore it. I'm sick of gritting my teeth while they talk at me. I'm sick of having to justify where I'm going - I was grilled about going to library on Saturday can you believe it! I'm sick of hearing about how broke they are (I'm getting the distinct impression that she's wanting me to bail her out) and I'm sick of the way she makes my fiance feel so guilty about everything. So, we're moving.

I'll still be a DFW though it just mucks up my timings a bit :(

    Hi El.

Eventful yes, I just want a bit of peace and some space to be honest! It'll be a shame that I can't clear a bit more, and I'm a bit scared about what happens when I get made redundant but it really is the best thing.

At least I've managed to pay off another £9,300 since being at the inlaws so it's not all been entirely worthless!

How's you anyway hun? I've not been able to catch up with your posts for a while! :embarasse

I'll definitely still be here El. Looks like end 2009 for debt freedon for me now, rather than end 2008 as I'd hoped so will get a few photos up no doubt (although I might chop the heads off, or perhaps give myself the face of Claudia Schiffer or someone, cos I'm a bit nervy of everyone knowing what I look like). ;)

    hi Mola

Poor you, that's really frustrating, but there are other things in life besides paying debts, and having a quiet life away from people who wind you up is important too.

I hope all goes well with the move and you enjoy having your own space.
