This post is about android security, I am not going to get into vs iPhone.
If you think iPhone are unsafe you can start another thread.

Everyone knows that due to open source and Googles aim to make as much money as possible from advertising malware and security is a problem.
You only need to search for android malware to find out how big the problem is.
Keeping the phone safe is important. Allways look for what access apps need. Ask yourself
If its a weather app why would it need to make calls
If you are downloading a game, does it need to send text messages?

However things are getting better for android, the app store from Amazon is much better, all apps are checked for malware before release. The store is coming to the uk soon.

Purposely ignoring the rest of your pish, how exactly is andoid being open source software a security problem???

Advertising? You are aware your favoured phone makes money from advertising? And makes more money collecting and selling data about their customers to third parties without even telling their customers???

You are aware that google reacts a lot quicker to security concerns than apple do??

Others can serach the Google for Malware Android and also Malware iPhone or windows phone.
People can make their mind from that.
No need to answer a few Android fanboys.

If you are using the Android Phone it is worth becoming aware of this:

Google's Android mobile platform is the target of a new variant of a widely used malware capable of stealing personal information
The new Zeus malware steals incoming text messages and sends them to command-and-control servers operated by the attackers. Depending on the apps installed on the Android device, the text could include sensitive data, such as password-reset links.

yes you need to ask the same bloody questions on iOS too. But too bad iOS doesnt show you the permissions required for apps! So you end up ranting here only about android!

Too bad MSE forums dont seem to have a ignore button for some users. If only it had then one wouldnt have to come to an useful forum only to find it riddled with crap posts. Atleast having an ignore button would solve the problem for many of us rather than having to see such !!!!! posted on this forum.

Probably the reason why many of us dont come that often to this forum anymore as there are better money saving forums like HUKD now for money saving deals unlike here where just junk like filled in this thread gets allowed by the forum board guides.

Anyone with half a brain would see some sense after seeing the videos i linked earlier. Just linking here again for your benefit as you seem to have a hard time understanding features of smart phones. anyway here is the link AGAIN http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLF2E689203EE62F20

Dont forget to see this video on that playlist http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tQjE9h7jkA&list=PLF2E689203EE62F20&index=4&feature=plpp_video

I probably wont waste my breath often again trying to reply to your posts as i find it a waste of my time. But if i have nothing better to do then might once in a while actually link a few more videos for your enlightenment!
