Well done & good luck! :j0

I'm currently viewing houses with a view to buy, and at no point has dust/finger prints/childrens toys put me off a house. If a buyer even notices these things, let alone cannot see past them, then they're doing it wrong.
Last week my girlfriend dismissed a house because the lounge was painted green :laugh:0 -
Well, they put in an offer! First and only viewer, in shock!
So i have more questions; how long will it take?
I know this must be how long is a peice of string but i have to hand in my notice at work (1 month) so i have to have some clue as to when to do this.
Both us and them are chainless and i can't think of any snags re:house that ought to come up with survey and solicitors, after all we only bought it ourselves in Dec 09 and we got it through in 4 weeks. (we had to due to buying from bank, think it was repossessed)
I'm assuming it's appropriate to ask buyers what their preferred timescale is? At least then we know what we're both pushing the solicitor's for, or am i being niave?
Thanks everyone. It was 6 years ago that we last sold a property but i can't remember a thing about it!0 -
Congratulations
It will take an average of 6-8 weeks can be quicker if solicitors on the ball getting queries dealt with etc
Have they a mortgage to apply for that can delay slightly depending if they have an AIP already
No issue in asking if they want to be quick as at least they will then be pushing their solictor0 -
Well, congratulations! (I assume you've accepted the offer?) And good luck!
However, this is only the start of the journey - hope for your sake it will be quick & painless. Buying 3 houses and selling 2 I've never had a smooth ride. But they say 12 weeks is about average.....0 -
Congrats!! Bet all the sorting, tidying and cleaning feels worth it now
Hearing you go from no viewers to an offer within a week kinda makes me feel like we've been dragging our heels with the property we like...You were only killing time and it'll kill you right back0
