Good article, claims the younger generation have it all with little effort.

Much the same as those who expect a house that currently matches their parents expectations.

That is by definition the problem we are facing. Any civilization which does look forward and constantly improve is one that is dying.

    He's talking about business lending.

I doubt he gives much thought to mortgage lending and the relative cost of renting and buying over a lifetime.

That may well be the case, but I think the same principles apply.

But you referred to debt junkies (referring to personal lending) as your thread title but Sugar was talking about business lending, which is different.

Anyway, as you've brought your own thread off topic - wasn't the emailer phone crap?

Put it this way, I didn't want/buy one.

My parents did, however, buy an Amstrad tape chewer, I mean Hi-Fi, I mean thing that played music when it didn't break down.

Actually, I used the term to describe those that want the banks to lend more, for whatever purpose.

Dont you still live off your parents though? Perhaps with all the money you've saved, you can now afford the nice stuff - rather than coming on here taunting "stupid" tenants, as you call them

The earlier Amstrad products were a brilliant concept.

Basically it was to put a cheap music centre in a casing that made it look like an expensive hifi system. They sold millions by supplying what the customer actually wanted. (or thought they did).
