i think you'll find you can opt-out of any unnamed mail being delivered to your home address ex-postie. goes to show why you now an ex-postie, your probably one of the ones that was still putting it through the door!

I think you mean Door2doorsDoor to Door - more than just leaflet delivery

At this stage I'll look to refining my technique. Might even outsource it.
really, have we forgotten our little trips to the post box?

I walk past two on the way to work. I'll need to determine which one takes less time to post into however, as I don't want to be wasting any additional time. I think I can post into the smaller one without losing much groundspeed (maybe just a slight waist pivot) but the larger one though would require diverting from my route for approx 3-4 seconds. Over time that will add up.
Anyway, thats enough of this forum for tonight. I've got a stack of envelopes to mark and not much time left.0 -

Quite honestly, if anyone looks as if they are frothing at the keyboard, it's you.
As he says the letter he is returning with a subtle mark comes from a DCA, then presumably it's addressed.
You would have done better to point out to him that (on the information given), doing what he does will just get the letter redelivered from the local sorting office because they will assume it was put in the post box because it was wrongly delivered.
Marking it "Not known" will cause it to be returned to the DCA which would seem to be more productive than persecuting the local posties for something that was in no way their fault. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

they made an explicit point of not marking it.
except for a "subtle" mark so they know they get it back.
hence they obviously have their reasons0 -

LDO!
The point is that it appears that the person in question is punishing RM for something that is not their fault.
Does he realise that RM are doing exactly what one would expect them to do and that it would be perfectly reasonable for them to do, i.e. redeliver a letter that is put back in a post box on the assumption that it had simply been misdelivered?
If so his actions seem bizarre. If not he needs to be prompted to do something more sensible that might help him achieve his objective. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
Anything with a prepaid envelope in it gets filled with the ripped up contents of the same letter and posted back to them (minus any of my details of course). Anything with an envelope without pre-payment on it gets the same treatment and marked "pay on delivery" on it.0

Same here, or for variation they sometimes get the local delivery menus...0
