If you download Calibre (a very useful and free online library tool) and save your books to it, you can convert books to any format. I have over 5000 books on my laptop!
I used to use Calibre a couple of years back but gave it up because it needed updating pretty much every time I used it and it was about the most user-unfriendly program I'd seen for a long time.

I'm guessing it's improved since then?

Calibre doesn't need updating all the time. The guy behind it adds updates/bug fixes on a weekly basis, but there is no need for you to update every time.

If you found it user-unfriendly before, you'll probably think the same now. However, if you take the time to learn how to use it for your needs, it is brilliant. It is a very versatile and pretty powerful programme, but I only use it for fairly basic stuff, and don't find it at all unfriendly.

Hi please forgive me if I posted in the wrong place, I've escaped from the comps forum :o

I had to share the brilliant deal I got today!

Stella Rimington's Novel the Geneva Trap is FREE on Kindle today instead of £7.99 but then.... if you're a fan of Audio books as I am, you can get the unabridged official narration from Audible for just £2.99 instead of £31.59! as a Whispersync ebook partner!

Make sure you "buy" the free ebook first then you can purchase the Audible copy at the partner price :)
That ain't working! That's the way to do it, money for nothing and TV's for free ;)

I don't know if anyone else has yet come across this site, but I'm quite impressed - it's called Book Bub and sends you daily emails of reduced and free e-books, filtered by your interests and type of e-reader.

I've been signed up for a week or so and it doesn't seem to be a spam producer, so I thought I'd flag it up here: www.bookbub.com, if anyone's interested.
Back after a very long break!

INSIDE (One Man's Experience of Prison) A True Story

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/INSIDE-Mans-Experience-Prison-Story-ebook/dp/B00784XQ1Q/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1411947150&sr=1-1&keywords=inside

This is a true story of a journey to hell and back.

In 1994 John Hoskison was a highly respected and successful professional golfer. He then shattered his perfect world. One evening he broke a rule of his life by drinking and driving and on the way home he hit and killed a cyclist.

Devastated by his actions Hoskison was thrown into an unimaginable world of remorse and regret. He knew he would never escape the pain he had caused and thought a prison sentence totally justified.

The story grips from the start when Hoskison swaps the safety of green fairways for the medieval squalor of HMP Wandsworth, where drug taking is rife and prison officers can throw victims to the hard men. Only one thing saves Hoskison – forgiveness. In the most incredibly generous gesture the story describes the forgiveness Hoskison receives which acts as a catylist for his survival in the face of adversity.

    Yesterday's Gone: Season One

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Yesterdays-Gone-Season-Sean-Platt-ebook/dp/B005REXCKE/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1412335943&sr=1-1&keywords=yesterdays+gone

On October 15 at 2:15 a.m. everyone on Earth vanished.

    Well, almost everyone.

A scattered few woke alone in a world where there are no rules other than survival... at any cost.

A journalist wanders the wretched reality of an empty New York, in search for his wife and son.

A serial killer must hunt in a land where prey is now an endangered species.

A mother shields her young daughter from danger, as every breath fills her with terror.

A bullied teen is thrilled to find everyone gone. Until the knock on his door.

A fugitive survives a fiery plane crash. Will he be redeemed, or return to what he’s best at: the kill?

An eight year old boy sets out on a journey to find his missing family. What he finds will change him forever.

And there’s a few people who aren’t surprised that this happened at all. In fact, they’ve been dreaming about this day for years.

    These survivors aren’t alone...
Someone or something is watching them.
    And waiting...

    Strangers unite.

    Sides are chosen.

Will humanity survive what it never saw coming?

The only certainty is that Yesterday’s Gone.
