Free on Kindle books is a collection of short stories called The Pottery Tales by Sally Patricia Gardiner. She wrote Lillian's Story which I got free some time ago and absolutely loved. Happy to give this one a whirl!0

Thanks for this - I have not read this author before.
May I ask how you find these good freebies? I am registered with Daily Free Books, and also look on Amazon free best sellers, but don't think this was there.
I like to read more English authors, many freebies are American, and some really badly written. I read very fast and cannot afford to pay for too many books per month.
Thanks again for any tips.0 -

Thanks for this, just bought it. I admired Lynda a lot, but thought this book might be too "medical" and depressing for me. However, just tried the first trial pages, and it appears really interesting, just about her very varied life.0 -

In this case I was just checking the author and found the freebie. I trawl the free Kindle books periodically and read the reviews. You are right in saying there is a lot of rubbish out there but if something takes my fancy, I download it and give it a try. You have to kiss a lot of frogs though before you find the Prince!0 -

I have read this and although I finished it, did not really care for it. Perhaps a bit too near to the truth! I enjoy a thriller but prefer escapism not harrowing descriptions of people dying from a terrible disease.0
