    I've been Money Tipped!
Libraries offer free eaudio books online as well as emagazines and Ebooks. Once registered it's a really easy and there are no late fees! I've spent far too much at Audible over the years and on magazines so this service has been a real money saver for me.

Where did you find the free audible ones please or is it finished now?

It says it is an offer for this month and was still live this morning

Library eBooks won't work on the Kindle though.
They're rights-protected ePub type books. Can't be used on the Kindle.

The Nook Simple Touch can handle ePUB format from the libraries. They were priced at £29. I think you can still get them from Blackwells.
  • I know that the first post in this thread mentions the Daily Deal but for those who don't check it every day I would like to mention that A Commonplace Killing by Siân Busby is one of the featured books today - there are quite a lot of different titles, perhaps for the bank holiday?

This book is written by the late wife of the journalist Robert Peston and I thoroughly enjoyed it - well worth 99p of anyone's money IMHO. But of course you must look at the description of the book before deciding it it is for you.

If you download Calibre (a very useful and free online library tool) and save your books to it, you can convert books to any format. I have over 5000 books on my laptop!
  • I have a Barnes & Noble Touch ereader, very basic. I say basic but it can connect to the internet a feature that I was not expecting & found a few months after buying it.
Anyway, it was bought for the Calibre Amazon conversions. & then one day I connected to B & N. Yes, they deleted the lot so be warned.
