In the interests of wider access to free Kindle books, forgive me for reposting a link to the 100 free Kindle bestsellers on the Amazon website - it offers a wide choice of free books, and you can, of course, make your own choices as to which you want to get:

Actually no criticism was intended for you posting this link at all - it is very helpful to those new to the kindle store etc. and I will add this link to the first post, so thank you.
However, in my previous comment about posting links to free books I was merely pointing out that many books are available free on a permanent basis (and are of variable quality) - please see my the original first post in this thread. The point of starting this thread was to highlight short-term special offers (including freebies) and short-term price reductions, which are not always easy to spot, and may not initially appear in either of the kindle store bestseller lists (paid or free).0 -

Det. Roland March is a homicide cop on his way out. But when he's the only one at a crime scene to find evidence of a missing female victim, he's given one last chance to prove himself. Before he can crack the case, he's transferred to a new one that has grabbed the spotlight--the disappearance of a famous Houston evangelist's teen daughter.
With the help of a youth pastor with a guilty conscience who navigates the world of church and faith, March is determined to find the missing girls while proving he's still one of Houston's best detectives.
