    Morning all

    Ironing done
    Washing on the airer
Shower next and then either town or bedrooms.

    Twins! lol

My name is Valli and my house is a mess - can I join you :rotfl:

Seriously I am utterly utterly impressed with the kitchen fitter and his associated tradesmen. Polite and respectful in my house, no 'language' and a first class job being done. Damp issue has been dealt with properly. Even plumbed in my washer so I can use it over the weekend.

trying to decide where to start, really. Think a light damp mop over some floors might trap some dust; kitchen chairs can go outside and be wiped down...

    sounds like a plan...

Had a good night last night :) just put some washing on and hung some damp stuff up. Do everyone's washing machines take almost 3 hours on a normal cycle? Drives me mad!

Got to take Nala to the vet today so just sitting in my nice shiny livingroom reading until then :p
on AA40 mine does:( hence my tendency to run a load overnight (I KNOW I shouldn't)

wonder if we have the same machine - if so, smaller loads on a shorter wash;)

When do we get to see this magical place, Valli?

Tips for sawdust removal would be good hex... I have to try to get rid of it here and am slowly losing the will to live. Boiler is on strike - I think it has got gunk in the pump from when they replace the section of pipe with the hole in, so will need to call BG out at some point... In the meantime I will need to use the immersion and the wood stove. Hoping for better weather so I can get the curtains on the line to air before trying to Hoover the worst of the sawdust out of them. May also need to rewash the contents of the airing cupboard as that's looking pretty dusty.

Next week's challenge also involves trying to get the bathroom people back to fix the bath panel - OH called them when I was I'll and they were supposed to call back 2 weeks ago but didn't. They've already been out and looked at it, and said they'd do it, so I have no idea why they have gone quiet...

I can get the emulsion in the bedroom matched, but they don't do satinwood to go with it, only gloss. I hate gloss, so need to think what I do. I may have to find a similar colour rather than matching it, as an off-the-shelf colour may have the satinwood too.

OK. Someone shoot me now. I don't think I can stand to watch. I may have to take up flying for the rest of the afternoon to drown my sorrows. Except I can't, I have no hoover.

    Are we talking rugby?

I have no hoover either - my Dyson has no suction and I can't work out where the blockage is..
