I found little tins of "sardinellas" ... in Poundstretchers for 35p! :)
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)

This reminds me of an article a couple of years back which was giving advice to uni students as to what they could cook. Each recipe used about four pans and cost about £20 for 4 people! For that price, they would just go down to the local pub and get their food cooked and cleared for the same price! They also were more or less normal recipes which if students could manage, they wouldn't have needed a special article!

A little while ago I tried some japanese sushi and found it awful and was reminded of the 'Emporers New Clothes story' I lived in London for most of my life and never bought stuff like this I think its only in specific small enclaves of London where you would find soppy beggers buying this sort of stuff

Well said! As a Londoner I have got a little annoyed at how many non-Londoners think we all spend a fortune on sun-dried tomatoes and sit around in poncy wine bars. I imagine the percentage of Londoners who can afford this lifestyle is pretty small.

Sushi is one of those foods I wish I liked, but I can't get on with it. I find all the different types taste exactly the same to me.
