the google satnav works over data. Try using the google satnav in Europe and other places, you will know how much data cost you.

Is that just a google sat nav, or sat nav apps on android / samsung galaxy s2 in general?

google sat nav can download the maps too,well google maps can

Rusty!

Google Navigation does cache it's route, so if you 'plan' it indoors on wifi, it won't need extra data along the way (unless you need to re-route).
