Find My ........ Samsung Galaxy (app)??

So i currently own an iPhone 3GS. I read on here about an app called "findmyiPhone". I was sceptical about it, but downloaded it & it's actually very good. Everyone at home who has an iPhone now has this app. Top stuff, especially as it's free.
But the 3GS is set to be replaced, either by an iPhone5 or Samsung Galaxy S3 when they're released.
For all the reasons why the Galaxy is better than the iPhone, i'm leaning towards getting the Galaxy (thegoodman, simply don't bother replying, i can't be bothered with your nonsense). If i don't like the feedback on the iPhone5 or SGS3, then it'll be a Galaxy S2 that i'll buy.
Question is, do they have a similar app & if so then ....... is it any good? Is it just a tracker, or can you erase the phone too like you can with the iPhone app?

You need Norton Mobile Security, this is like find my phone.
First three months are free, after this I think its £20 or £25 a year, need to check.0 -
That's no good. I'm not prepared to pay that much. A one off would get considered, but per year? No. I don't mind something that is paid, but not that much.
Anything else out there?0 -
Here's an app: http://www.androidzoom.com/android_applications/tools/findmydroid_fspc.html which sounds good, but only gets 3 stars. Stars don't always give an accurate indication though.0

Not sure its exactly what you want but samsung dive has tracking etc.Plus it comes pre installed on a few samsungs already.0

If you need to have find my phone type of functions than it is better to go for a app which is designed for Samsung phones including your phone model.
All free apps will have a problem of what if and may not work when you need it eg system down or android version not covered etc. The last thing you want is you think you have deleted the phone when you have not.
If you dont mind paying than Norton version, I have seen it working, is very good more or less copy of Apple version.
Another thing to keep in mind is not all Android phones are covered so if some family members have Android phones either non-Samsung or not covered by the App than you cant use the app you will need to look for somthing else.0 -

I know a lot about all phones including Android, Windows Phones and iphones. Due to work I have chance to use most phones.
I dont love any OS however from the functionality point of view iphone is better choice for high end phones due to way iOS works. Most people are not into rooting the OS etc.
Lets see which one sells more S3 or IPhone 5.0 -

Many of us know a lot about phones, our works use iphones and android, I'm one of the envied ones as I get to use a HTC for my job, it doesn't need tomtom as sygic is equally as good, and gives 3d images for city centres.
Ford sell more cars than rolls royce but it does not mean the ford is a better car , that said the S3 will more than likely sell more as the tariffs won't be as rigid as the iphone tariffs as many people buy their handsets on credit the contracts will be cheaper. I suspect the ip5 will have a 12mp camera it better have as the xperia s is already there with talk of 14mp or 16mp cameras to arrive.0 -
Sales is not an indication of quality.
Apple will sell more & we all know it, because there's way more APPLE fanboys than there are Samsung ones.
If you count up the amount of people that'll buy ANYTHING "Apple" - laptop (oh sorry, macbook), PC whatever itscalled, iPhone, iPod ianythingelse & compare it to anyone who'll buy anything Samsung (including TVs etc) then Apple will win hands down.
There are too many people that will buy anything Apple. Buy every single iPhone out. Why when owning an iPhone 4, would you shell out an additional £500 for the minimal extras the 4S gives ... yet people do it, because they're Apple fanboys.
So measuring our genitalia is pointless.
There is indeed no "better phone". They are both better than each other ....... depending on the individuals needs.
DUTR - i didn't know any date had been set.0 -

They haven't as such, but from various sources , it seems to me that the S3 and ip5 will be at a direct shoot out from launch as one will try to over shadow the other
