I am thinking that you won't get vouchers for food then one of utilities, rent etc but you might get 10 x £1 and 5 x £5 vouchers etc I bet no change will given. And it will be like a scheme across the country, like a paypoint, that shops accept these vouchers but of course your preferred small business/shop might not accept it due to xyz (fill in the blank such as monthlyfee that they have to pay to the central processing centre which small business really could do without).
I don't know, we must study how they do it in the US because that's where we are heading, thanks to Mr Camero's forward thinking.
It's sado masochism by torturing those who are going through a hard time while those who are supposed to be doing the right thing is stealing in millions right under DWP govt's nose e.g. A4eMoney is not the root of all evil.
It depends on how you obtain it and how you use it.

Childcare element of UC
It's still only an undecided maybe but the NCMA has argued that vouchers that can only be accepted by registered childcarers, Barnardo’s also has supported a voucher system.
Its to do with childcare .. .. where the heck does food ASDA & Tesco's come into UC .. .. anyone got a link ?Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. I try to be an even-handed poster and accept that you at times may not agree with these opinions or how I choose to express them, this is not my problem. The power may be intended for childcare.
How it's actually used may differ, as the legislation does not say it can only be used for childcare.0 -

Unworkable for people like me. My disabled adult son lives at home, I care for him. I am the homeowner with the mortgage/rent to pay. It's my electric account, my council tax bill, my 'everything' bills. All my costs are much higher simply because my son is still at home.
Giving my son vouchers instead of his usual benefits would be as much use to us as giving a chicken an umbrella.Herman - MP for all!
