    Yes, it is.
  • Seconded. Yup - totally normal. Even when I try to change the name of the thing. The grey card icon doesn't match the visuals of the other cards either. :(

  • Yeah, Halifax online really isn't up to par in any way at all. You'll still have a Clarity/Clarity Reward card even though, it's displayed online as a Standard Mastercard

Mine is the same - I rang to check as I was worried because they had offered to 'upgrade' me to the Clarity card (12.9%) when I rang to cancel my normal credit card with them which had a 24.9% interest rate. But I rang to confirm and it is indeed correct.

I agree, Halifax's online banking is terrible.

That caught me out as well when I got mine last year.

Note also that when your monthly bill is produced the web page won't show you the actual total payable. You need to do the math yourself and add up what you spent or subtract the balance shown from the remainder of your credit limit.

Just be careful if you are away and can't see your paper statement, so that you pay the correct amount.

Agree, this is very annoying. I don't understand why they can't just fix that.

Also with the Standard Mastercard thing, when the change to LTSB systems happened last year, for about a week, it did actually show as Clarity Card on my online banking, then changed back to Standard Mastercard again!
Debt free and staying that way!

Halifax online card management is !!!!!. By far the worst I have ever come across. To make matters worse, I have recently discovered, that if you opt out on postal marketing, Halifax can not send you paper statements. If it wasn't for the cards good qualities and the £5 per month, I'd have binned it.

    It used to be excellent.

Then they moved to the LTSB system, which does seem to be fairly lacking when it comes to Credit Cards.

However ... they did promise at the time (early 2011) that the original features (e.g. paper-free statements) would be reintroduced within around 18 months ... so we may see changes soon.
