Blimey, four days in a field in our van and the world has changed. I can't help with retrospective planning consent for the annexe. I feel for you though.
With regards to 19kg (or even 47kg) propane gas bottles - if I were you I would make sure you have two so you refill the empty one. There are plenty of bottles on FB marketplace and the bigger ones are cheaper - and in Norfolk there will be small suppliers who will have some, even in a shortage, as there are in Suffolk (eg the local hardware shop had propane and patio gas (the latter is a mixture with butane) and the local camp site/moho service place sells it too). Just add replacing the regulator and pipes if they are rubber (you can get stainless flexi ones that last longer) - our friends lost all their gas with a time-expired fitting and pipe; 94kg! (blue shrieky eek thing). Time again? I would not go for an auto-changer. While running out is a pain in the proverbial, running out of both and then finding there is a supply issue because you "thought" you had plenty is worse.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £9586.01 out of £6000 after August (158.45%)

Thanks SL. Tbh, they have 4 canisters (two for the holiday let, two for the house) and I'd assumed (stupid me) that all four would be included. Imagine those for the let would be as it's coming fully furnished for those illegal holidays...
I know what you mean about 4 days and the world has changed... it's very difficult to put the brakes on. But at the moment, we're just concentrating on DH getting better and us both getting a decent night's sleep before we consider our options. Had a really useful chat with neighbour last night though.

MS things:
* Clicks done, won 98p on the HW - back over the £5 payout again and I've only just claimed £5.Will let it grow a bit more before withdrawing it though
* Qmee at £6.83
* Tiny PA survey done - I do hope it picks up soon
* Am working today (still taking it gently, but getting on with it)
* Survey refund has gone back onto cc. Both ccs are looking good at the moment!
* RM survey items entered on system
Less MS things, but necessary:
* Quick trip to Sains for some specific foods for DH, more paracetamol and some easy food for me for today and tomorrow (Nectar points collected but didn't win on the scratch card thing)
I do keep thinking of the benefits of a delay to our purchase - more chance to save, etc. It's the running costs that concern me. DH says we could afford them, but at what cost? Anyway, as I said above, now is not the time to think about these things.

After every dark night always comes a brighter day 🌞
I think it's great news that the planning permission allows the holiday let to be used for B&B - a precedent has been set 🙂 You are not restricted to ancilliary use only which is far more difficult to get changed.
Remember - breakfast doesn't have to be cooked. Leaving out cereals, yoghurts, pastries, etc also qualifies as breakfast. And who would know (or care) if guests came to the house for breakfast or not?
I do think this is a more positive situation than it first appeared.
Ideas on what to do with a holiday let that can't be used as one:- rent out as office space
- rent out as meeting rooms
- use as art/craft studio
- use to run courses in something
- use as yoga studio/gym
- turn into pub (this is the front-runner for our annex 😂)

Haha, thanks for that list Fortune! Unfortunately I think the last one is out too as there’s a covenant on the deeds that I think means we can’t get an alcohol licence (And there’s a lovely pub round the corner!). It’s a covenant due to the lender in the 1950s being the church and it’s something we might investigate removing in the future, but in the short term? I think a continental breakfast might be easier. I had considered this but you do still have to be there. And fine in the summer but where we’d want to serve it would be chilly in the winter… like you say though, who would know. We need some more info from the owners before deciding on the plan of action.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning all,
I've cut the grass and got some washing out this morning as the sun is shining. DH is still not well, but maybe slightly better. He didn't have a good night though (I slept like a log, being so tired, missed the tennis too!).
Back at my desk now for a bit - just need to lighten the load for tomorrow as I'm aware I may have another bad night's sleep and the work I'm doing required good concentration. Won another £1.50 on the HW this morning, so have withdrawn another £5 (thanks L4dbr0kes!) - still leaves a couple of pounds in there towards my next withdrawal.
Have also just done another small platform job - was a fun one though and didn't take long. Better get back to my actual work now though.
Gratitudes:
* The sun is shining
* Dad, having spent the night in A&E has been discharged with antibiotics - and they don't think he has appendicitis.
* Family catch-up later at Mum's
Happy Sunday everyone!

Afternoon all,
Absolutely zonked today and have a sore throat - a sure sign I'm feeling run down. Glad I did some work yesterday - it's taken the pressure off today and also meant I had time go for a walk this morning - exercise is necessary, even when tired! Collected some bananas, bread and a pastry (see what I mean about exercise?!) from an Olioer on my walk. DH has spoken to the dr this morning, who also seemed supremely unconcerned. So it's just a waiting game. They did recommend something for the stomach pain, so I'm going out to get some shortly (when I've finished the work I'm doing).
Was naughty both health-wise and financially last night and got a BK on the way home from Mum's. I was out of energy and inspiration to cook something for me (and DH had a chicken burger - I think he's thoroughly fed up of chicken and rice). Will have quorn casserole for dinner tonight - and I think DH is going to have that too. He's definitely beginning to turn a corner.
Spoke to the estate agent and asked some questions re house. Am awaiting her responses. Should probably let our solicitor know...
MS things:
* Clicks done (no HW win today)
* HW £5 arrived - split between anniversary fund and holiday fund (which took a beating for DH's birthday treat and everything in the US is looking more expensive now 🙄)
* DH's car is booked in for 4 new tyres tomorrow (presumably covered by his car maintenance fund). Originally I would have collected him after he'd dropped the car off and vice versa, but obviously he doesn't want to leave the house yet - so I've booked train and Plusbus ticket for tomorrow - the dealership is in the next town. £7 which isn't too bad for a return and removes the temptation to Uber. Must top up my hand sanitiser bottle though.
* Not sure I mentioned this - I did send an email to the hotel we stayed at listing all the niggles with our visit. And the manager was really grateful and has offered us a one-night DBB stay in the next 12 months to show how they've got it all right!
* £2 Populous survey
Gratitudes:
* Lovely time with family yesterday afternoon
* Work is not stressful today
* Lovely email from the hotel manager - really took my comments in the way they were meant to be.
Have a good afternoon all xMortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Afternoon all,
Haven't been feeling too good the past couple of days (and DH continues to recover slowly). Now beginning to feel a bit peeved with the move situation - am getting hassle from the estate agent (theirs) about when we're going to rebook the survey and had we seen the indemnity policy yet.... As far as I'm concerned the ball is in our court and it's for us to make a decision, not to be pushed along by others. She is aware that DH hasn't been well too, so I'm not impressed. Our solicitor is on holiday (apparently) - have had an email from her cover acknowledging my email and sending a few bits through.
Current thinking is that we need to speak to a planning agent in the local area. But I really am struggling to deal with this at the moment and I don't think DH wants to/feels up to it either.
Mortgage valuation for this place is booked for next Wednesday.
MS things:
* NOT MS - DH fancied a Dominoes last night, which was extortionate, but we've just had some leftovers for lunch and will have the last bit for dinner.
* Used survey earned vouchers from various places to pay for an Amazon order for a couple of bits we needed
* Clicks done and another 60p today from the HW (something yesterday too, but I can't remember what)
* Interest on my Skipton a/c has been paid - £115. Need to find a new home for my buffer fund as the rate has now dropped.
* Had an email from smarkets saying that my account was going to become inactive and they'd be returning my £95 to the card on the account... I'd taken money out of the bookies, but left some in the exchange when I stopped MBing - and had completely forgotten about it! So that was a win. Bit of a faff to get it out as card had expired and so you had to add another one which meant depositing more.... hmm... (now checking Betfair to see if there's any in there - sadly not).
Gratitudes:
* DH is feeling better
* Nice walk and catch up with Brownie friends yesterday
* Unexpected money!
Have a good day all.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Hope you're feeling a bit better now, and Mr TMV too.
Stupid estate agents. I suppose it's their job to hassle, but I got VERY fed up with the one selling this house when we bought it. They were useless - pictures were rubbish, would only do viewings in one slot on a Saturday morning (and even then they were late because they couldn't find the house, despite us finding it following THEIR directions 😂). Then when our mortgage took forever and I was SO stressed, Julie kept sending me emails ALL THE TIME spelling my name wrong and using far more exclamation marks than are reasonable for any professional 😂
I think that annoyed me more than anything else.
Dear Cheeerie,
We are very worried!!! The solicitor won't tell us what's going on!!!!! What is happening???!!!!!!!
🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Funny, she wasn't that forthright when we were trying to get the seller to remove the fridges full of rotting meat from the outbuilding before exchange... 🙄😂
Oddly enough I walked past their office today and peered through the window trying (as I always do when I walk past) to identify which one is her 😂😂 Don't know why, she obviously got under my skin 😂
I hope things are progressing and you're finding out the information you need x4 -
I’m so sorry to hear about all the moving stresses you are going through vix, I hope it can be worked through to a place where you feel happy going ahead feeling more confident. Take it easy this weekend if you don’t feel too good 🙂MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁4
