We have been talking about changing the orientation of the east-west cart lodge - a double garage essentially but I don't know how the local authority would feel about a single tilt south facing roof instead. Definitely looking at this for my workroom to replace the pig shed (awaiting better supply chain for building supplies too for that - both could accommodate solar.
We only run our hob off calor TMV, you would need more than 19kg for a summer for a range cookerSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £9586.01 out of £6000 after August (158.45%)

In theory, especially if you were to include the solar in the plans, I would have thought that would be OK as they have to accept changes for environmental reasons... but I'm aware that the reality isn't always the case 🙄
Oh, I know I'd need more for my range, my I didn't even know how much a 19kg cannister was!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning/afternoon all (it's currently 11.56!),
Lots of work to get done today. I achieved lots yesterday around work, so feeling pretty pleased with myself - cat's chicken bought and cooked, washing done, posted RM survey items, returned cat-sitting key etc. etc. Also picked up some tomatoes from an Olioer, after I realised we'd used all the passata. Will use them for a chilli maybe. Covered for a friend this morning on her collection, so my kitchen is full of bread and pastries. Will keep a loaf and a couple of doughnuts, but that's all.
Have sent a couple more queries through to the solicitor and did call our EA yesterday too to see if everything is progressing OK. Expecting a call back at some point. Hopefully the survey went OK yesterday. Not sure when we'll get the report as imagine it takes a few days (70 pages!).
MS things:
* Free tomatoes and bread
* Combined Coop 50p off and 25p off milk to pay £1 for 4 pints of organic milk (as have cancelled veg box this week and didn't want to pay milkman prices)
* Clicks done, no wins today
* YG survey done - 4345 points now
Gratitudes:
* Lovely, lovely weather!
* Lots of work (it's much needed)
* Free tomatoes, just when I needed them

Afternoon all,
Ugh, lots of house-move-related stress this morning... I cba to go into it all, but basically everyone else needs to buck their ideas up and provide the damn paperwork they've been asked for before we have any more kittens about there being no planning permission for the holiday let. And on the sale side of things the solicitors keep asking for stuff I've already provided! (and the purchasers haven't actually got a mortgage yet!) Grr!
Work is up to date (and time difference means I've got a bit of peace before client perks up), so I'm off for a walk with Mum, Sis and Niece - I believe I'll be treated to an ice cream at the end of it (they've done it before and promised me, as I missed out last time! 😂
MS things:
* Clicks done
* Free bananas (my usual Olio collection this morning - I may also have stress-eaten a pain au chocolate!)
Gratitudes:
* New lady I now have to deal with at estate agents seems nice and keen to help
* Walk with family later
* (Now monthly) quiz/catch up with DH's family this evening

Oh dear!! Hope the relevant parties buck their ideas up. House moving is SUCH a ridiculous process. All fingers crossed x5

Thanks Cheery.
I honestly don't know how people move every five years or so. I don't see the attraction anyway, but the stress of the actual process is horrendous!
I do wonder if it would be easier if everyone got all the paperwork together and then had a meeting that lasted a whole day if need be but at which everything or almost everything could be sorted out...Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning all,
Grim house-buying shenanigans continue today. [Edited for privacy] Feeling very cross and deceived. Hate to think what solicitor's bill is already and we're now beginning to wonder how much we throw at this before we have to pull out. 😥 Mentally we've moved - as I'm sure you all can tell. The adjustment if we decide not to go ahead will be extremely painful (for everyone except my mum and sister). As I said, I'm very cross.
MS things:
* 62p HW win, clicks done
* Qmee at £4.34
* YG survey done
* Focusing on work
Gratitudes
* Nice walk with Mum, Sis and Niece yesterday - saw sheep and pigs with piglets and a lovely village church
* Collecting some Grasmere gingerbread from my cousin later
* My electric fan I bought earlier in the summer... it's so muggy!
Have a good day all

Liking the gratitudes, but oh my word, the planning permission issue! Very grim, as you say
I hope a retrospective thing can be ironed out really quickly.
