Morning all,
Sorry you missed those Karma, but I'm sure you'll find some good ones somewhere.
In good news, I have work! A couple of decent-sized projects to work on, one of which that signals the start of one of my biannual projects, so hopefully things will pick up a bit now. In other news, I'm expecting the doorbell to go soon with the delivery (by courier fortunately) of my birthday present from my sister - which is something edible for us for lunch. Will be heading out for a walk and talk-on-the-phone with a friend later. Depending on what lunch looks like, we will probably have hm pizza for dinner, but I haven't made the dough yet, just in case we don't need anything that large.
MS things:
* PC survey (apparently I have £30 stashed in that account now)
* Work!
* Clicks done
* A couple of PA surveys
* Picked up 1kg of porridge oats from an Olioer yesterday (combined with my exercise)
* May yet combine my walk and talk with a bread collection, but it's a fair way away, so depends how keen I am!
Gratitudes:
* a lovely e-card from a friend yesterday, to thank me for my Christmas present
* opened the lovely body wash sent by my friend on Scilly - it's made by her friend and organic and plastic free and really gorgeous (the company's called Phoenix and Providence). I think I'll be sending bits from here as gifts in the future.
* looking forward to my birthday lunch from Sis!
Have a good day all!It's Friday!

I love you guys, but you do have short memories, my birthday was last week! 😂 Thank you anyway! Not entirely sure why lunch arrived a week late from sister but it was fabulous - veggie afternoon tea with scotch eggs, sausage rolls and mini quiches, followed by scones and cake. Had to save some of the cake as we were stuffed and also have some jam and clotted cream left so I’ll just have to make some more scones at the weekend!I decided that I would collect some bread from Olio this afternoon, so did a 5 mile walk to collect it (and some Portuguese custard tarts) while chatting to my friend on the phone.
(when I arrived back BIL and fiancé were stood on the drive with my birthday present - the post has been terrible for them too and it had only just arrived - so I guess it did feel quite birthday-like all round!)Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Excellent hobbit-type Second Birthday, then
: )
that veggie afternoon tea sounds fantastic!
Portuguese custard tarts ... they're up there with Yorkshire curd tarts, you know. Gorgeous.2023: the year I get to buy a car4 -
I like the ‘hobbit’ suggestion Karma, unless you’re suggesting I have hairy feet! 😜
My mum introduced me to the deliciousness of Portuguese custard tarts last year, so looking forward to these! They come up on Olio very regularly round here - am looking forward to being able to enjoy one over a cuppa with mum once things are a bit more normal.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
