They don't mention the multiple loo trips in the night do they? I mean, if I'd had kids it might be understandable, but I've not! I sometimes count and that can work, or I 'write' (in my head) 'tails' from the cat about the weird things humans do - it tends to help as it's entertaining and less repetitive than whatever my head wants to think about... unlike the endless hold music I'm currently listening to whilst waiting to speak to old energy supplier again. P****d off doesn't begin to explain how I feel about them!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

So I finally got through to the energy company and have sent them the information they needed but couldn't be bothered to actually tell me about. They got a very snotty email accompanying it that really gave them my view of them. And I pointed out that at the least I expect the 3% credit interest that they offer to be fully applied to the balance in my account before they send it to me. I'd like quite a bit more than that considering the time I've spent being messed around by them, but I doubt I'll get it.
Have also booked a boiler service, baked some ginger nuts and drafted a blog post this afternoon. DH is still working - wonder if I can drag him away for a walk...Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning all,
Tiny bit of work done this morning. Still didn't sleep well and now have a headache too, so will be taking it easy today and having a nap later. CR - if you like ginger nuts, you might like what I did with the batch that I left in the oven a bit too long.... sliced up some banana, put it in an ovenproof dish, sploshed a bit of orange juice in (and I would have added brown sugar if I'd got any) and sprinkled crushed biccies on top (like a crumble topping). Heat in oven until the nanas are gooey. Delish! (Can't take any credit for the recipe - it's my MIL's, but it's definitely a good one). SC - the smoked salmon and samphire risotto was good too. I seem to have opted for the 'extra smoky' salmon trimmings rather than extra 'smoky trimmings', so it was rather smoky!
I'm hoping I'll be able to pick up my click and collect order from the zero-waste shop today - if I haven't heard from them by midday, I'll give them a ring, as it's normally ready next day (yesterday) and I'm getting low on stuff. Food processor should arrive between 4 and 5 this afternoon and we're having dinner (via Skype) with friends.
MS things:
* Clicks done
* Ordered bananas from milkman - organic and plastic-free and cheaper than a R'ford bag/box - something to keep in mind (I was so pleased to find them in a brown paper bag on the step!)
* 2 x PA surveys
* 1P surveys
* £1.32 withdrawn from TCB
Gratitudes:
* Literally just had an email saying my zero-waste order is ready for collection
* I did all the baking yesterday, so I can have a gentle day today
* Super affectionate kitties this morning
* Yummy smoked salmon (maybe this is why the cats are being so affectionate?!)
* Mum and I have booked tickets for Wimpole for next week
Have a good day all

That sounds super scrumptious but alas I can’t eat bananas as they give me violent migraines 😩

Oh no! Reckon it would work with peaches quite well too, or of course, rhubarb.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Oh no not thought about rhubarb, we’ve got that on the allotment. Feeling pudding inspired

CR - glad to have inspired you!
Well I've spent this afternoon (after a failed nap attempt) following the hand-holding steps on Team Profit to place my first matched bets! Thanks especially to Cheery for recommending TP - it really was easy when they show you exactly what to do! Come Sunday afternoon I'll be £10 up
I've also completed some more 1P surveys and just had an email telling me I've won a £10 voucher in the Gfk TV survey drawsAnd my food processor is back
All good news here (apart from the lack of sleep).

It couldn’t be easier SC - I’ve long avoided it thinking it’s not for me because I’m easily confused with numbers, but there is a video where you copy exactly what the man does! I may not have slept but did feel rested after a lie down - but yes, I was slightly amazed that I decided to take the plunge at that exact moment!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
