Hi!
What is MOTG?
What MS site do you use? Always looking for new moneymaking opps!

Haha, glad walking a llama is good, Karma! We probably won't be going to Carnac, I'm afraid, we'll be staying north of Quimper so it's a bit far probably. The stones look fascinating though (I had to look up Carnac to see why you were so interested!). Glad you're back - will head over to your patch shortly.
DFOD - FOTG is food on the go - it's a sub-survey of Shop & Scan, which you can sign up for here: www.volunteer4panels.com. It's invite only though, I'm afraid and you'd only be invited to FOTG once on the S&S main survey if they like your demographics. We also do the TV and web monitoring another sub-survey. Annoyingly my sister does Consumer Pulse, but we've never been invited - probably not suitable as we don't buy much! Will PM you about MS company - but have you checked out the MS thread on the Boost Your Income board - that's where I found them all (this is one of only two I really do any more, although I do want to get a couple more back on the go).Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning all,
It's chucking it down with rain this morning, so DH decided against the park run he was going to do. So I'm on here catching up and doing some surveys and we're looking at holiday stuff (DH is considering an OS maps subscription).
The more I think about the house we're going to look at later, the less enthused I am, but we'll go and see anyway. The house is still lovely but the mortgage would be huge compared to what we took out originally, let alone what it is now! And tbh, it might just be a bit too much. Oh well, we'll go and have a look.
Want to get out in the garden, but it's not going to happen this morning, if today at all!
MS things:
* Clicks etc. done
* SBs surveys done
* NV survey done
Gratitudes:
* Cuppa with mum yesterday afternoon
* Brownies were lovely and have chosen the theme for our pack holiday - animals
* Not going for park run meant we've got a nice chilled morning
Have a good day all!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

You're going to an amazing area then
that does sound too far to go.
Glad you're still going to see the house today - so important to see the possibles so that you can refine what your wants and needs really areDon't get too wet

Ooh, have fun at your house viewing! :j :j We really quite enjoyed that bit of househunting - and found it much easier than we thought to dismiss places :rotfl: Really helped us narrow down our criteria and figure out what was important and what wasn't. Of course we ended up with something that was far more expensive and far further from work, that necessitates a car commute when I'd insisted I didn't want one, which has land when all we wanted was a bigger garden... :rotfl: :rotfl: Hey ho
You're right, Mr Cheery would have no doubt objected vociferously to the coffee situation :eek: :rotfl:0 -
Thanks folks
House was a bit small and had a slightly odd layout (had to walk through small and awkward living room and hall to get to dining room (there was a hatch for the food). The location and outside space were lovely though. It wasn't the 'one'. Struggling to come to terms with the fact that it doesn't seem to matter how hard we work/how much we save/OP we never seem to get any closer to where we want to be. Oh well, it's just one house...
DH thinks we're spoilt by the spaciousness of our current house (internally), which is probably true, but as I'm at home all the time, I really need to feel it's spacious/light - and I'm ever mindful that while a small living space is fine/great during the summer months, the long winter months when I struggle with mood anyway could be very tough if in what feels like a small, confined space.
More houses need to be seen. But I think we'll wait till we're back from holiday... who knows, maybe we'll have a new plan then (think that's wishful thinking on my part!).
(As an aside, the house had two gorgeous long-haired and very wet cats!!)

Get going on that matched betting :j you can do it :j
I apologise in advance for being pushy - have you seen Sarah Beeny's latest tv programme, Renovate Don't Relocate? She analyses current use (via cameras!!!) and helps people change the floor plan, for fairly minimal money - £2k sometimes, up to £10k. But if its not The One, its not, nothing changes that. Anyway, enjoy the weekend2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
That's not being pushy *at all* Karma!! I haven't seen it.... I'm not sure we could afford much in the way of changes - we'd need to build a garage as it is (as there isn't one and it's a must-have - there is space for one). The living room was small, had doors out of either end of the longer side, a patio door too and a real fire (with attendant chimney breast) - and was the walkway between kitchen and hall/dining room. It would be interesting to see what she'd make of it!
Hmm... matched betting.... I'd be better nudging DH I think, he's got the mathematical brain, not me!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Just popping back in to say that (and it's not something I ever really thought I'd say) Gordon Ramsey does know his stuff! We finally got round to having the Steamed Chard and Kohl Rabi in lemon sauce and it was delicious! A bit of a faff (loads of herbs, garden came in handy
) but very tasty and definitely a keeper. Had it with breaded fish as that's what we had in but would work well with salmon or chicken. Crumble is warming in cooling oven for dessert.

Morni-whoops-Afternoon all!
DH fed the cats and let me lie in this morning as I was so tired... it was bliss!
Definitely an inside day here - it's vile out there and none too warm! Have enough work to be getting on with but not so much I'm stressed (just wait, I'm sure there'll be loads arrive just as I need to pack). Finishing all food up in the house is the plan for this week. Think we may be a meal short, so may have a pizza out on Thursday night - saves washing up too.
MS things:
* Clicks etc. (just doing now actually)
* Comps (the Monday ones only)
* PA survey
* YG survey
* The 'forgotten' invoice has been paid by the Americans - wahoo! Earlier than even the earliest expectation and such a relief. The biggie is still to be paid, but it's good to know pay is sorted for the coming month and I haven't got to try to check/chase while away. Have sent a very grateful email to my contact.
Gratitudes:
* Saw extended family at Nan's house yesterday. Will be the last time we'll all be there together like that, although I expect I will say my goodbyes to the house at a later date. Was good to see them!
* A walk in 'my' woods yesterday, while DH was off running - lots of birdsong
* A chat with the n-d-n - she's okay really, just have nothing in common (i.e. they're replacing their sofas - only four years old - because husband 'doesn't like leather any more'! :eek: Old ones are at least going to daughter! These people are not rich, live in a council house and have a disabled adult daughter, clearly our priorities differ as new sofas and redecoration of the house mainly for nice photos of daughter getting ready for wedding (!) would not be important to me if I was them! They do work, and I'm not belittling anyone who lives in council accommodation - just amazed by my neighbour's choices! Takes all sorts, I guess... although environmentally :eek: :eek: :eek: ). (Sorry, that was less of a gratitude and more of a comparison.... it was nice to chat though.
