Good news all round, madvix (except your dad's hand) ... that plate must have been amazing to have raised so much, good for everyone. I know what you mean about the **stuff** that people buy - unbearable! Though I did get sucked in for a few years, and I have a couple of boxes of cat ornaments as a result
Great about learning the sharpening skills :j2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
The plate was beautiful. Dad's hand will be fine - just a big blister and a plaster over it - so didn't want to get it dirty planting stuff.
Yes, was really pleased to learn how to sharpen - skills = resilience and self-sufficiency, which I'm definitely keen to reach (at least to some extent).
I have 'stuff' too Karma (including some 'heirlooms' of no value) - I just couldn't believe how much some of it went for. An Art Deco porch lantern - beautiful (although simple) but not £400 of beautiful!!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning all,
Had quite a low-key weekend. Visited a free car show on Saturday and had lunch out - Pizza Express, so used Leisure Vouchers and deal voucher. Total cost for 2 courses each and drinks was £5 (inc. tip). Sunday was a NSD. I think the heat got to me a bit and the hayfever certainly did - had a long nap on Saturday afternoon and felt fairly lacking in energy on Sunday too.
MS things:
* Sold DVD prize on Ebay - to post this morning
* Clicks and comps etc. done - 225 SB survey (10 mins) completed this morning
* Invoicing prepped (work so busy that I knew I needed to crack on over weekend) - invoicing American client for nearly five-figure sum (in $) :eek: Let's hope they pay!!
Gratitudes:
* Was a fun and relaxed day out on Saturday
* Did enough yesterday that I feel we're ready for the week ahead
* Runner beans and potatoes are running away from me in their enthusiasm to grow!
Have a good day all, hope the sunshine is with you!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Hi Earthie! Yes, invoice is very :eek: And that's just this month... It has been mega busy!
I get the leisure vouchers from shop & scan. Avoiding plastic and Amazon (as far as poss)limits our choices somewhat, although Argos ones are card too.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Afternoon all,
I forgot to say, I bottled 2 litres of elderflower cordial the other day and it's very nice. Total cost, about £3 including citric acid, lemons and sugar. Bargain! Most is now in the freezer (in jam jars!), but working my way through the stuff in the fridge.
Hoping to finish or almost finish the big project today. Unfortunately though, the client has already asked me to take on some more for this client of theirs.... I will of course say yes, but I'd really hoped to get a couple of days away from it as it's so :mad: making.
Waiting to hear back from an EA about a house viewing - we've actually got as far as asking to see somewhere :eek:
Managed to pay my bills as I paid myself today (despite being down on income due to forgotten invoice); only had to take £120 out of savings, which wasn't too bad. Thank goodness it was a relatively frugal May!
Spending diary is up to date and the bad news is the cats are costing us waaay more than we thought! Would change them for the world though. We are well stocked up, so hopefully this average will come down a bit over the next couple of months (the last two before we have a whole year's worth of spends). The opening of Costco near us will help too, and I've sourced a more ethical yet cheaper dry food for one of them (the other has a special diet) for the next top up. How it's more ethical and yet cheaper and I hadn't spotted it before, I don't know!
MS things:
* Clicks etc. done
* No win on PBsIt's been ages now....
* All work done except the last of the big project - haven't been in this position in weeks! :T
* Chased overdue payments... awaiting responses!
Gratitudes:
* Lunchtime chat with DH
* Homework finally done for this evening's class.... only had two whole weeks to do it in - the sense of achievement is amazing!
* There's enough ends in the freezer bag of bread for a bread and butter pud at the weekend
Have a good afternoon all - it's raining here and I want/need to pop out... enthusiasm is waning...Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Haha, no, the big one won't be paid for 45 days (and a bit). Americans seem to have 45 days as standard payment terms.... I'll be poor a while yet!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Just popped on to share that **I have FINISHED the stupid big project!!** :j:j:T:T:j:j:T:T At last!!
I still have work to do though, so no slacking today. Am going to head into town shortly though as I have a list of jobs to do. Will take lappy with me and treat myself to an hour working in the Sb in town (with credit from Swagbucks) - not a huge fan, but free and a change of scene at least!
MS things:
* Take library books back
* Collect holiday money - used Travel Money Max of course (and checked to see if there were any MSs for it as I have done a couple of those in the past)
* Clicks etc. 2 min survey for 85 SBs this morning :T
Gratitudes:
* The project is finished :j:j
* The sun has returned (ish) today
* I didn't need to water the plants last night :rotfl:
