Morning all (just),
I'm really tired today, but I'm not sure why. Lots of tea has helped though. We watched 'They shall not grow old' last night. It was a very moving documentary (which does nothing to describe how it made me feel). The colouring and technology were very impressive and really made a huge difference to effect the programme had. However, I have vague memories of stressed dreams, so perhaps not the best idea (although we did watch something less stressful afterwards).
I failed abysmally on the new trainers front. I found some, but then discovered that they were made of plastic - I prefer leather (yes, weird veggie, I know) as my feet won't smell and there's some chance it will degrade eventually. So back to the drawing board/online hunt.
Working today, although I suspect it won't take me all day. I'm looking at my to-do list and trying to resist the temptation of going to Nan's (house) with Mum this afternoon. Lots to do here, but no energy!
MS things:
* £10 Pizza Express voucher claimed from MS rewards :T
* Enough for a £10 *bucks voucher from SB (but will wait to claim until there's a bonus for doing so) :T
* VB poll
* Dinner from freezer last night
* Still only having heating on for two hours/day
* £5 voucher from RM survey for special survey
* Survey done for Gfk TV survey that should net me a £2 voucher (not received yet)
* Oil for mini bought using L2S vouchers/trade discount = £1 cash spent
Gratitudes:
* Quick cuppa with mum yesterday
* Chat with FIL on phone this morning
* Grateful to the men in 'They shall not grow old' for the freedom I have today

Morning all,
Whizzing through work this morning, it's all bitty bits, but I should be done by early afternoon. Will pop and see Nan if that's the case.
In excellent news, I went back and bought the trainers yesterday. I looked them up online and they were made of leather, so popped back to SD and bought them for £9 less (before postage) than online. I can't bear giving Mike Ashley money, but I also *hate* buying trainers, and this is a relatively pain-free and cheap way of doing so, and I hardly think buying a pair every two years (at most) is keeping him in business.
MS things:
* MS rewards, VB poll, SBs (back to standard clicks now)
* DH has taken leftovers for lunch. Think I'll have the ends of the bread as eggy bread
* Dinner used up the end of the spinach. Tonight's stir fry will use up some more beginning-to-be-past-it food
* Will claim refund for a) missing item and b) dented tin from supermarket delivery last night
Gratitudes:
* DH cooked dinner last night (while I did work/Guiding/put shopping away)
* A good night's sleep (I think?), although some weird dreams!
* It's Friday! Although vets appointment tomorrow for boosters and Brownie quiz night to run, so not a relaxing day!

Morning all,
A busy and expensive weekend! Vets annual visit on Saturday morning (£105, budgeted for) was followed by the Brownie quiz night - fun and as usual we're eating the leftovers of the ploughman's here. Yesterday we took the mini out for a drive, which was lovely in the sunshine and then in the evening we booked our Dads' Christmas/Birthday/shared presents (and our tickets for the same event). Tickets were £60 each plus £35/hotel room. Fortunately we're sharing the costs for the Dads with a sibling each, which brings it in on budget, but the costs for our ticket/hotel room we'll be paying (obviously). It'll be worth it - it's a great event (and means the difficult to buy for Dads are sorted for the next year!).
This morning, as there's a lack of work, I've been getting the house clean and tidy and will shortly be popping out to do some other jobs. Will also see Nan and then pop round to Mum and Niece.
Bought DH a couple of new-to-us hoodies from the Bay last night. Two for £15 posted, so hopefully they'll be as good as promised in the listings. Beginning to get a small pile of bits to sell on there too...
MS things:
* SBs Swago, just waiting for a code and then will submit full board (claiming £10 *bucks voucher in the process)
* MS rewards/VB poll
* NV and YG surveys over the weekend (utilised my time waiting at the vets very productively!)
* Requested prescription for flea tabs as it's much cheaper to buy online
Gratitudes:
* Great quiz night and made ~£300 (before Gift Aid)
* Lovely drive in the sunshine yesterday
* Cats are well, if very embarrassingly naughty (both had to be taken out the back to be vaccinated!)

Sounds wonderful, except for naughty cats, I can't imagine what that would've been like to cope with :rotfl::D

Haha, it was very furry Karma! I came out of the vets looking much like a cat! :rotfl: Fortunately the vet didn't seem bothered, but they're such softies at home, I wish they'd behave better in public!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning all,
Had a productive day yesterday (even got my homework for evening class tonight done, virtually unheard of!) and got everything on my day's to-do list ticked off. This is good as work has arrived overnight which will keep me busy for the next couple of days (I expect).
Today I will be getting on with the work and I have a plan to get a walk in at some point, which will be nice (if chilly!). Not sure about dinner tonight, but pud will be the remains of bread and butter pudding made with the leftover, stale French stick from the quiz night (the first half was yummy last night).
MS things:
* Paid cheque into joint a/c - refund of a membership DH has cancelled - money will go to savings
* Another CS find for a Christmas present (biscuit jars to fill with hm biscuits, not just random CS presents)
* Mum not averse to a second-hand joint present for niece from us (we were planning on buying it new as a joint present, but this seems a much better way forward)
* Brownies won £10 in a Guiding-related raffle(not strictly *my* money saving!)
* Clicks etc. done
Gratitudes:
* Cuppa with mum and niece after chores completed yesterday
* Nice evening in with DH
* Made arrangements to see one friend this week and another has suggested we meet up
Have a good day all! (I'd better stop procrastinating and get on with this work!)Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning all!
Didn't sleep well last night (so cold!), so I'm not sure how well today is going to go. However, bread is proving, need to pop to post box with survey item shortly and I'm up and morning chores done.
It turns out I need to do more with the work I was assigned yesterday than I thought, so it may take even longer (charged by the hour, so no problem for me). Bit annoying though as I think the majority of the issues have been caused by a technical problem - which could no doubt have been resolved elsewhere.
I did get a walk in yesterday, which was nice, if cold, but then things went downhill rather and I spent the afternoon reading my book (*not* what I was supposed to be doing!). Evening class was good though.
MS things:
* RM survey
* Click etc. done - keeping to a good routine with MS rewards to get all the bonuses
* Bread proving
Gratitudes:
* Central heating (but I must put it on when I need it!)
* My freezer - falafels for tea with cooked frozen chickpeas
* A good walk yesterday, even if cold and wet!

A post is logged at 9.17, and you've got bread proving! Respect!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Sometimes I just have to get on with it otherwise I'll put it off and put it off until it's too late in the day! I mix the dry ingredients while my porridge is cooking and then when I boil the kettle for a cuppa I mix the water in. I can be excellent at procrastinating (see yesterday for an example!)
Post posted, no excuses for not getting on with work now!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
