Neck pillow for Long Haul Flight
Comments
-
I have this one and it fantastic, best one ever, slept all the way back from Vegas in the cheap seats with this, fully supported, no neck pain, no head lolling about, no neck sweat , just comfortable on every level. Comes in a little bag and can be neatly packed away.

So I'd go for memory form, firm and well made if you can't find one of these.
That looks the business!
As said I have just bought a memory foam tempur travel pillow http://www.furniturevillage.co.uk/inventory/bedroom/tempur-travel/travel-pillow.aspx
but of course it is pillow shaped so not sure how good it will be on the flight.
Tempur also do a neck pillow which would probably be great but I primarily wanted one to use in the hotels once there, but looking at that evolution pillow I am tempted to also get one of those
Where did you get yours ?
I have searched high and low for a UK supplier witghout success and have just emailed cabeautravel0 -
I bought one of these before and it works better than the standard neck ones

The only problem Ive ever had with it, is that if you are on a cheapy flight where the seat backs are a bit thin, then the hook that goes over the top can sometimes slip a bit. However if you are flying long haul on a bigger plane with better economy seats, it should be ok.0 -
It is strange how seating effects people differently. For me, it is more because the headrest is too far back and at a really uncomfortable angle, which means I end up with my head tilted back.
So, for me, I think I need more of a neck pillow than a chin support.
No doubt as I only ever sleep on feather pillows, my feather travel pillow smelling of me aids the brain to play a part in aiding sleep as the pillow feel/smell will provide familiarity in an alien sleep environment. The MSE Dictionary

Hi, yes I bought mine from the US, from a discount store, but the ones Tojo Ralph found look exactly the same. It has a carry bag, earplugs and a little side pocket to put your ipod or whatever in.
Having tried many neck pillows, inflatable, solid, filled with tiny beads etc, this one has been far the best, it has a shelf like bit of it that completely supports your neck and head, whichever way you tilt your head.
As I said myself and hubby slept all the way back from the US, it really made a difference and the neck pillow will come with us every flight in future.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Thanks for that, it looks like the same product but no reviews and of course the same price in £s as it should be in $s.
I will email the seller
I will also see what reply I get from the company about purchasing in the USA, it is mainly the flight home that I will use a pillow.
thanks again for looking and finding one0 -

Photome, I got mine from Tuesday Morning, there's a few scattered around the Vegas area. I didn't pay the price listed, they were significantly reduced.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

we finally made it to a Tuesday Morning last trip...also intrigued by these given your reviews and wish I would have had a better look to see if they still had some.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

If in any kind of economy seat it should be good to use slumped forward, and I like the idea of being able to rest a kindle, tablet, book, at a more sensible viewing height. Also as I have opted for a couple of Eco Comfort bulkhead seats with legroom lately, it would be ideal for raising legs for folk who do not carry on a case style carry on bag.

OMG THAT IS INCREDIBLE! I always always want to sleep bent forward. SO many uses for that pillow too. Thanks for the heads up!:beer::beer: My only hesitation is if someone inflated one of those huge things next to me I'd get the giggles.....0
