    They've been charging roughly the same price for a bottle of coke for many, many years and are always packed full of customers at peak times.

    The price they charge is pretty much the same as the price charged by other similar restaurants - Ask, Zizzi etc.

    Everyone knows the price of drinks in restaurants is quite expensive. They're not losing custom as a result of that.

    I think the problem is that people think they are just paying for the food, and yes if you made it at home the mark up on it is huge. However the real costs are rent, staff, china and cutlery, insurance, advertising...it goes on, and the actual food is just a small proportion of that.
