ah but IS, learn well grasshopper.....

which one gives you the most points for your purchase? which is the better bargain?

ie 4 points per £1 from Boots

1 point per £1 from Superdrug - but 3 for 2, so only pay for 2, can you get away with 3 coupons? how many points do you earn for transaction?

    now grasshopper... go shop..... :D

    love it...

SnD, don't be too hard on your colleagues, some people really do not know how to express themselves at times like these and so think it best to say nothing for fear of saying the wrong thing .When I found out a friend of mine was diagnosed with brain cancer and had only about 6 few months left to live.I was round there like a shot, telling her off for getting it , I was just as angry and distressed as she was that she was going to die so very soon. She said she cried a lot but not had a good scream....So we both went out into the garden and let rip, as loud as we could. Then fell about laughing...she said lots of her work friends had not been to see her either but they weren't as 'barmy' as me and understood their reactions.
Take care, hope your mum gets the help she needs sorted soon.

as for thanks... .pft you know how I feel about the thanks button!
Please don't pick on me re the 'thanks' button Aesop....it's such a faff logging on to MSE with my iPad and sometimes when I do and touch the thanks button it sends it scrolling uncontrolably, have just found out how to get the keyboard off the screen , as have been reading Drivel on half a screen until last week( so obvious when you know how)....have the Drivel app on it now , but it never takes me to the last post and by the time I've found it and read the posts, takes ages waiting for the scrolling thingy to catch up with me, so don't log on... I'm automatically logged on when using my laptop , so can read and thank and post to my hearts content efforlessly....

no, you got it wrong Bully, I don't like the thanks button. Think it is wrong. Especially on chat threads, we are not necessarily thanking because we think it is a useful post but because we liked what the person said or some use it as a bookmark so they know where they last read to, or some just thank everything as they go along.

That has caused a few rows in it's time!

I am on another forum and there is no thanks button and it is so nice!

I am not a fan of the button, it should be renamed!

SnD, Im so glad you are finding comfort and support from your invisible friends on here. From experience I think often people feel that if they say nothing it hasn't happened. It has been a huge frustration of mine, something I think I am at last coming to terms with. During the early rawness I liken my awareness to Alanis Morrissette in her video for "Thank you", do you remember when she was naked on the streets of New York? i felt as exposed yet ignored. Only a few felt they could touch my arm and say how sorry they were. Which is in fact all I needed. I wanted clocks to stop, traffic to halt and make a public announcement on the 10 o'clock news. I wanted to walk into our Town Hall and have a meltdown. how could everyone not appreciate how devastated I was? yet everyone's lives continued, they got up in the morning, went to bed at night and they breathed in and out - why, why, why could no one get it? As you know SnD I too took enormous comfort from the somewhat transient love of strangers in scattered corners of our country sat at their keyboards. They offered with open arms what my heart needed at that time and I am forever grateful - for I truly believe they saved my sanity and restored my faith in the belief that there is indeed such a thing as a "good samaritan".

Thinking of you Snd, we are all at the end of a mouse... x

Bullshot - great post about your dear friend. Can I ask if she is still with you? Nothing like a good wail. Ive done it many many times, especially when walking the dog at a secluded part of the beach from where we can see Wales clearly. Sometimes Ive wailed so loud, the sea has taken it and the letters spelling out "I miss you" tumble out on the beach the other side. i think we should have a group wail on here...

Aesop, I hope I never get chastised for not using the thanks button enough, I often don't and its nothing personal. I know not saying "thanks" winds a lot of people up though. I used to religiously thank every post I ever read just as a visual note to self where I was up to even those that said nothing t all. I think it should be renamed too... just saying... (or have other options)
Love, through the trees, past the sky, beyond the northern lights; and I won't let go. May your soul and spirt fly sweetheart x

My alphabet-girls are with me every step of the way x

what a lovely idea MAGS, a group wail :)

and just for the record, I do NOT chastise anyone for not using their thanks button. This is not school, we do not have to do anything we do not want to do, and those of us who read on phones, and other means, cannot always thank.

So it doesn't matter, does it? The point is we read and support :)

we don't always have time to post, and I know some like to thank to show they were here and reading.

We also have lots of invisible :A who read, not thank, but occasionally pop up when the situation is right, with wonderful words of support/help/advice/virtual hug/coca cola code offers/etc.

I am not telling anyone of for not thanking. I should have made that clear. Blue knows how I feel about the stupid thanks button....:rotfl:

    Morning Everyone! :)

Phew! Have finally emerged from the shadow of DD1's revision  As she has special needs I have had to be with her every step of the way - coaxing, encouraging, explaining, bribing, testing and bullying! Just hope it has all been worth it! It will be so nice to have our evenings and weekends back.

Got a surprise APG yesterday. Used my last McVities moc to get a free Ginger cake (£1.30). Had planned for it to compare against Mr T @ £1 but it actually compared against Mozzy's at only 72p :j
Have a good day everyone :)
