Thanks for that Aesop. I suppose when anyone at work has had a baby, bereavement etc, I have always popped around and taken a card and a hug, and maybe even some flowers, depending on the circumstances. The two people I thought were a true friend have only e mailed me about work queries that they don't know how to deal with and not even mentioned dad !
Guess from now on I will definitely think of them as colleagues and not friends.

naughty naughty, know how your feeling though, so plenty of sympathy coming your way

although i can't speak i eat things i know i shouldnt, but as we find you suffer later

touch wood i've been mostly ok for last couple of weeks after last bad bout.(not good when trapped in big traffic jam)

hopefully you'll feel abit better for later.

Thanks MT, its been a few months since felt this nauseous so should be grateful for that just a pity got this meal tonight as don't look like me going to be able to eat much and it's a thai place so spicy but will be painting on that smile and nibbling as it's not just about the food but the social side. I know DSIL will be crushed if I withdraw as DH sugested as her other DSIL and family have already cancelled.

Can you look up the restaurant online and have a look at the menu? Then maybe you can plan what you will have.

    Ah - Thai food

These are non-spicy or just mild spicy:

Green curry (meat or seafood) they are not spicy.

Fishcake ( very nice not spicy too dip with sweet chilli sauce)

Pad Thai noodle - this is nice they sprinkle it with crushed groundnut before serving.

    Stir fry Basil with meat

    Pineapple rice

Not sure if they do : Pandan Chicken ( its chicken pieces wrapped in screwpine leaves)

Don't go for satay or spring rolls as that is not their international dish.

Don't go for : Hot food if you can't take it & they are :

    Red Thai curry
    Tom Yum soup
Som tum ( very nice some restaurant serve it with unripe papaya & some servie it with grated carrots)
RIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)

Wow You lot the best:kisses::kisses::kisses: and I am so slow :o didn't think to pre look at menu and thanks to your post explaining some of the dishes Doc :A:A:A I can have a green curry and a steamed rice:j Just looked at the menu most of it haven't got a clue as it's not normally food we eat have been to a Thai place few years back when was on a holiday it was nice. This way can decide the least spicy option before hand not too bad if I don't manage to finish which I know am not going to be able to.

Doc what is naal nenas description says pinapple special fried rice with chicken and peas what is this like probs not for tonight as fried but it would be something I would maybe choose on another occasion, as you seem to be the best qualified with these dishes:D;)

The actual restaurant description says Malaysian, Thai and Singaporean restaurant
