It was a balanced debate, no signs that Wendy was out of her depth. :rotfl::exclamatiScams - Shared Equity, Shared Ownership, Newbuy, Firstbuy and Help to Buy.

Absolutely. They used to do this all the time with Jonathan Davis. Jonathan, who was steeped (with a slight bias) in every single facet of house prices, was put up against the equivalent of a taxi driver who had been waiting in reception to pick someone up. Jonathan could then come out with statements like "Shortage of houses? Just look in your local estate agents, there are plenty of them".0 -

It's quite impressive that Lilico managed to hold his own in a debate against such an academically distinguished opponent.
It must mean that we're now guaranteed another crash.0 -

I think it shows that the likes of Wendy Evans-Scott get far too much media coverage being portrayed as experts on housing when they haven't got a clue what they are talking about. When in reality we need more people who know what they are talking about rather than vested interest rampers.:exclamatiScams - Shared Equity, Shared Ownership, Newbuy, Firstbuy and Help to Buy.

I would agree that she gets far too much media coverage, she would be out of her comfort zone doing the Shake and Vac advert.

PS. If you are reading this Wendy I just think you underperformed against Andrew. How about a "That's what you said 8 years ago" riposte.0 -
At the end of the day I doubt many people who watched it care.
The guy came over as somebody with savings just moaning about low rates.
Tough luck. We don't care about the details. We just want low mortgage rates. We love Sarah O Grady0 -

Looks like the media is catching up to real life to me.
Can only hide it for so long.0
