  • So if I did start receiving legal letters, what would my next step be? I am currently being denied the chance to pay back the money owed, let alone make early repayment? Any 'default' is an error on their behalf, I have a copy of the contract.
  • It's all weird - from what I remember didn't think QQ did 2 payment dates within the same month?

The "2 part repayment" worked for me as a transaction on each subsequent 'payday'

Next step. I'd be taking professional advice? start with CAB or Community Legal Advice perhaps

Strange this, QQ are like a rock of quality, responsibility and probity when it comes to financial dealings.

They deal with some of the countries top clients.

  • Could anyone let us know how their situation was resolved? I'm exactly in the same boat - I'd like to pay QQ back, but they've suddenly deleted my account. I also find it very doubtful that they would just let this debit slide. I've kept email email confirmations from them for now but would like to find a way to repay them.
Does anyone have any advice for me based on their own experience?
    Thanks.

This thread is 2 years old and the OP hasn't been back since they made their last post, so I doubt you'll get an answer from them.

I'd suggest you try calling QQ on the number that MSE Andrea posted a couple of posts above yours.
  • Thanks for replying. I did exactly that - in fact I've called them 3 or 4 times. They actually told me, no joke, that "quickquid has repaid your loan". Where it becomes even more suspicious, is when they say they'll happily send confirmation of this by email. On 3 occasions. I never received any emails (checked my spam box of course).
When I bring this up and ask to perhaps try a different email address, they offer to "escalate my call to a support team", who will send me e confirmation email. Of course, I never received anything.
Over the course of these calls with them, I've noticed their support tactics are extremely obtuse and designed to lead you to their support team. There is very little the representatives I spoke to over the phone said that wasn't very obviously scripted.
My fear is that this is all by design, and that they defaulted me on my payment or something, and are very purposefully going to try and recover it the hard way from me, I.e with all the added income for them.
I'm ready to repay them now, and just don't know how to do it. I've also recorded an instant message conversation with them just to be safe.
    Any thoughts from anyone?

I can't see what they hope to gain by not letting people repay. I'm guessing that they either just have an incompetent call centre or a crap IT system (or both).

I'd treat it as a complaint and follow their complaints procedure here https://www.quickquid.co.uk/contact-us.html (don't bother with the phoning - send them an email so that you have evidence) and if they don't either let you repay or provide written confirmation that the loan is cleared in 8 weeks, refer it to the FOS.

Hopefully, their complaints department have access to the corporate brain cell and can give you a sensible answer.
  • I think that's probably right. Thanks.
