    Lol, no. :)

    It's only for registered egg producers. Those of us who sell just to friends/family/at the gate don't need to be registered.

    However, it does mean that we can't advertise them as free range.

    When we kept hens, I used to tease my daughter that their eggs were made from high fibre weeds and low fat worms. :)
    The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)

    I am so lucky - just got back from my dads with a whole tray of eggs (must be 2 dozen +) that they get from the milkman but never get through for free. Well I say free, he did mention that he quite liked egg custards. Still think I'm up on the deal though somehow :rotfl:

    I am happy to report that currently L!dl are still selling free-range eggs at 89 pence per half-dozen. I fear for not very much longer, though. The shelves in @sda yesterday evening were empty, a prelude to a price-hike, I suspect.

    Tesco sell farm pride free range eggs box of 6 89p I get them in my online delivery every week.
