Bloody Air France....

I would guess you were in one of these (this is in KLM livery): -
The actual English announcement on an Air France flight is: -"You may get up and walk around once the "seatbelt" sign has been turned off. However for your own safety, we advise you to keep the seatbelt fastened while seated.
Please keep it visible so the crew won't need to disturb you when checking seat belts in case of turbulence."
I appreciate you don't fly often and may have missed this announcement, but it is worth remembering for future flights0 -
i had a similar experience with air france,i booked online and i double checked everything, when i got my confirmation it had come through as Mr(i am female),i called them and explained and was basically told tough,£30 to change it,the most rude and unhelpful customer service i have ever come across,
never used them again, and the icing on the cake the flight attendants were just as rude,5 hours of snotty overmade up young girls.
about 2 weeks later i flew to the same place with klm and they were
really great.0 -
It's because they are French and because they are also bureaucrats. That's everything awkward and unhelpful to the power of ten right there in one neat little package. *Shudder* French officials.... I think they get trained in it. Even the French can't bear them.Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0

Thanks guys, I am now in France, ready for my meeting tomorrow....I have been dreading it, but when it's over, it will be over....It's a tough one. I'll get back to anyone tomorrow who cares! Does anyone care?2013 NSD challenge 3/100

To their credit, I once made a similar mistake with easyjet (I think it may have been a passenger name error perhaps, wrong surname) - rang the immediatly expecting to go through the hassle of paying extra - nothing at all, they just changed it their & then.
About the only good thing I can say about my regular easy-jet playing days - switched to BA who were cheaper for the same route!0 -
^^ You thought £290 for 3 people was unreasonable to fly to Paris and back?! I am flying from Paris to Cardiff in May. Bought the tickets the other day. Leaving a Friday night, coming back a Monday afternoon. The cost? €230
Yep, crazy, but then flying from Kirkwall (Orkney, Scotland) to Glasgow (Scotland) can cost that much and more (For example me booking a trip at the start of April, for one week, staying over a weekend, over £130 EACH WAY for one person!!!).........and we only have one airline to chose from. Good job we have ferries and a 7 hour car journey as an alternative....and of course we all know how cheap diesel is in the highlands and islands of scotland....£1.52.9 per litre (with our generous 5p/litre discount!) at last check.........

That doesn't spund like good customer service!
I ' ve only ever travelled to Spain with an aeroplane and they refused to amend the ticket, when they said ok we will do it it was something ridiculous like 145 euros!
But we do travel by ferry to France alot, the company we used was quite understanding when I booked the destinations the wrong way round (DOH|!!!!haha) but still had to charge me the amendment fee. I had called them 2 minutes to making the booking and they reduced it as a good gesture! I find that so rare!
I hope you have sorted your flight out dear. We’re separate, two ghosts in one mirror, no nearer
Later on if it turns to chaos
