10,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
I've chickened out - was just about to complete my purchase when I decided to check Amazon reviews. Saw the one where lady spent 4 hours in A&E getting it removed.
Been there, done that - with a tampon .

    ordered thanks
already have mooncup which i love despite occasional leaks
hopefully this one will be even better!
It's not "better" but may be more suited to you. Same as my MeLuna isn't "better" than a Mooncup, but one suits me and the other really doesn't. I have an incredibly low cervix, though, so my anatomy isn't normal. I know many people can and do use Mooncups without problems.

I've found on a different site that the Femmecup is shorter than a Mooncup, so I've ordered one to see how it goes.
I really don't know how that can happen. There's nowhere for it to go....!? Just like tampons can't get lost anywhere..
If someone has a high cervix and a short cup it might be hard to reach. All cups, regardless of brand, move to a position where they're more comfortable after being inserted and it's quite possible that's higher. Then add an inexperienced user who might be squeamish about feeling inside themselves, along with usual NHS non-urgent wait times and yeah, it's possible.
It doesn't mean it's necessary - most women can push their cup lower by bearing down as if having a poo if necessary and should then be able to reach it.

I was ready to checkout with paypal then I read the same review. So I've also chickened out.

Thanks OP just ordered. Used to have a mooncup many moons ago but the stem broke off so it was uncomfy having to dig it out with my long nails! Alas I have dozens of tampons I bought in bulk so I'll have to use them up first.

I think that lady who had to go to A&E must have had a wonky hoo-haa, anyone I know that has used a cup has got on just fine with them.

Thanks OP! Just ordered a replacement for my mooncup, been using it for years and would never go back to tampons, cups are just so comfy and handy!! No idea how someone managed to lose it up there and need A&E, seriously there's nowhere for it to go!! Would recommend them to anyone! :D

How do you clean it for and keep for next month to use? does it say how often you should change a new one,(tooth brush is reconmanded to change every month )
sorry just wondering do you need to wash it when you empty the full one, that means if you are in the public toilet how do you manage this
