I've read the testimonials but am not sure I've got the nerve to try it. How tricky is insertion? And removal? How often does it need to be changed? Daily or more frequently?

ETA: read a bit more about it and realise there's a 12-hr rule. Can it go on the dishwasher? ;)

Boil it in a pan of water. Or microwave it in a big cup of water. Getting it in takes some practice (well Mooncup did) but isn't bad and taking it out is fine. Break the seal and pull it out. Go for it!! Honestly I do think cups are brilliant things and will try this one in case it suit me better.

Just empty it, you can go up to 12hrs, rinse it and stick it back in. You dont need to replace it with a new one every time. Its suppsed to hold up to 30 ml so theres not much chance of it overflowing. Then steralise it when your done. Its medical grace silicone so I should imagine you can put it in the dishwasher. Youd be surprised how easy it is to use. At 8.49 why not give it a try? :)

Just got one couldn't afford one at full price and have wanted to try it for ages.

It will be so nice not to realise i have run out of tampons when the time of the month descends. :j
  • worth checking out the different brands, mooncup i found to be quite sturdy and scary to be honest, have had MUCH better luck with a meluna which seems to be softer and easier to use. £8.49 is a bargain for these : )

Ive been looking at Melunas today. I have a mooncup and nothing to compare it to, but im completely converted and will NEVER go back. Ordered a femmecup today to compare as they are so cheap today and ive never seen them half price before. Would you recommend the meluna? I got a bit fazed with all the different options with meluna. I know through research different people respond differently to different brand. Some issues, leaking, UTI's, discomfort etc can completely disappear with a different style/brand. Its worth persevearing.
  • thank you so much! (embarrassingly) I lost my moon cup a while ago and have been putting off getting one because of the cost. Can't wait for it to come!
