Same rules apply to phones as to PCs, take a little care about what you download and from where, check it over from time to time, if you're really worried get an anti-virus package.

Obviously there is a risk, but I suspect a lot of the hoo-ha about malware is scare-mongering (and some may well come from those with an interest in promoting other platforms).

There are plenty of malware risks in the PC environment, but 99% of us survive very well.

And if you are soooo risk averse, don't have a mobile at all, cos that will obviate the risk of it being taken off you by a mugger !!
