Which phone to get?
Hi,
My contract is up for renewal and I am not sure what phone to get.
I haven't done much research, I do have an Ipad 2 already so have been considering an Iphone 4s.
The best deal I have seen for the Iphone is the £30 a month 3 deal, from this site.
The thing is, where I have seen offers for Iphone, a lot of people say that there are better phones out there, which work out a lot cheaper, rather than just paying the premium for the apple item.
So, can anybody shed a bit of light on what is out there and what I should be looking for?!
Basically I want..... Internet, sat nav, (basically something like an iphone but it doesn't have to be an iphone!)
I am not a heavy user, probably less than 100mins and less than 150 texts per month.
I am currently with Tmobile, but the upgrades with them don't look anything special to be honest.
Thanks for any help!

I'd recommend the Samsung Galaxy S2. It comes with navi built in. I don't know how good it is, as I've not used it. But the phone itself is excellent.0

My contract is up for renewal at the end of this month. I have been doing a bit of research and have decided to get a Galaxy S2. It was voted best smartphone in 2011 and is a very popular phone, with the newer phone released by Samsung (nexus maybe?) actually being a lower spec product. I want to stay with O2, the best deal i found was £27pm with 300mins talk, unlimited texts and 500mb data

That's a good deal, is that direct from their website?
I got 200mins, Unlimited texts and 500Mb data for £21.50 per month.0 -
I have a HTC Desire S.
This will do what you want.
I use googlemaps for satnav and it is great!

Main advantage with the Samsung s2 is the speed of the processor and screen size. The deal with O2 now starts at 27pm for the free phone for which you will get 300m, in texts, 500 mb plus am extrahones 500mins to other o2 phones. Top cash back also doing 110 cashback this week.0

I've had a samsung galaxy S2 for a month now, and I'm impressed with it. BUT there is a learning curve if you are used to iOS, and I got pretty frustrated with it in the first week (I'm pretty tech savvy).
If you can get an iPhone for the price you want, there are lots of reasons to stick with that.I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say.0 -
Gordon hose, you may be able to ask o2 to give you an extra 250 same network mins on the tariff you are on. I was able to get extra 500m just by asking.0

I got that same package on O2 from Phones 4 U priced at £21.50 per month inc Free Galaxy S2. Which I couldn't match on an iPhone deal.I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say.0 -
